How often do you think guys inject floaters

I was inspecting a vial, and I was using some new filters so I wanted to make sure I had no floaters. I cleaned the vial with alcohol and a cloth probably 5x while looking under a light at it and moving it around.

Finally I see a tiny tiny single filter fiber after maybe 30min total... I think most people would have missed it but I'm ocd as hell about this shit because I live in the middle of nowhere...nowhere near a hospital.

Made me think....how common is it guys are injecting floaters and nothings happening?

My first 2 years of running gear I'd just buy vials and not even look twice at them. Just yolo and inject. Obviously I have learned much since then.

This is prob correct. I’d imagine we’d see a lot more issues and complaints if our bodies didn’t tolerate it

I know for sure I had a floater from the rubber stopped before, however i believe it got into the syringe while using a large 20g needle when drawing. When switched to a 25 or 27g i dont think it would have been able to make it through. Not sure, but i proceeded with the injection.

What do you mean? Using your coffee grinder, coffee filters, and microwave was extremely sterile. LOL.

I used to just backfill syringes with 1 ml of everclear and drop 3 tabs into it. Oh, to be young and mentally retarded.

Yes but drug users inject probably 5x a day. Even then, they are unbathed don't use alcohol swabs and use a cigarette as a filter and still it's somewhat rare they get a infection.

Idk about injecting drugs but I have alot of experience with being anal about floaters and dealing with the causes.
The guy drawing with a 20G I will say this: I have used some cheap 20G needles before that would cause the tiny stopper piece to go into the gear and if the stoppers are also cheap ones it makes it even a bigger chance. I always used 20G to syringe filter into a vial so I learned to use the good and sharp brand that would not break off a piece of the stopper. Anything bigger than 20G definitely put a tiny stopper piece in there. Also the processing of the stopper can cause it to break off more too like if they are over heated to being mushy or overly dry- depending on the stopper and how it's processed.
Always having others and my own health in my heart and responsibility in my hands- I would anally inspect a lot of bottles back when. However after I learned the right needles and stoppers and I always knew the right stopper processing- the problem was almost non existent.
As far as filters and prefilters both larger and syringe ones: one can learn the signs and the limits of those filters as far as heat, pressure, chemicals, amount of ml pushed through etc....

So, if it's a major concern then the safe thing to do is refilter your gear patiently and properly with a syringe filter also on your vent needle. I know: who tf wants to do that? Well if you have a floater and your source won't replace it and if you have more than one floater from that source in say a year. Might need to change sources. Doesn't matter if they manufacturer on a small or big scale.

Also, floaters could come from improper processing of vials or improper environment and environmental control and or awareness. What I mean is you could be under a flow hood and a tiny bug could still fly into an open vial for example. Or it could come from shitty lying ass Chinese vial suppliers in Amazon or elsewhere claiming sterile but they aren't or have poor quality/environment control.

So to me floaters are something that if it wasn't a once in a year(if you ordered a whole bunch of vials like 100's-1,000's or once period occurance: I'd change sources. A fluke? Ok everybody's human but more than once and I would change.

In the UK the nurses don't even swab anymore so if you've been wearing clothes on the injection area there's probably quite a few fibres being pushed in right? Im thinking when they take blood or you get a Covid shot in the delt

Food for thought. plenty of cases where nurses/doctors will slam/hold a patient into to the wall/bed and inject through a pant leg to take down a psychiatric patient.

I think most people who get infections have weak immune systems to begin with. This maybe controversial, but I think its like those who apparently got sick or died from the vaccines, you’re just too weak and will go someway or another.

If millions even babies or drug addicts in the streets have better immune systems than you, its natural selection at its best.

My wife has a medical degree. But that dosent mean shit, I'm still scared as hell of her injection tequniqes she will thrown a fucking harpoon in me like shes trying to spear a whale.

Your right that may happen, but theres no way u have the data on that or have any idea how many of them get infections. Luckily I'm not in a mental institute yet, cuz it would take 4-5 male orderlies to Jam me up an inject me. Especially if I wanted to throw blows.


The human immune system is amazing we put it through enough shit, we shouldnt mess around with it anymore than nessisary imo. Why not preach the most safest sterile techniques? This is about harm reduction no? U can also play russian rullet there is a 1 In 6 chance you will blow ur brains out.

I still shower before every injection. I swab I use a seperate draw needle. I do everything in my power to be clean, the rest Is up to the brewer an my immune system. Call me a puss.

Bs tons of bodybuilders have had infections that's natural selection they got infected? We do so many freaking injections its bound to happen.
