How to make a quality logo for personal training business?

Well I don't think I'll ever believe that 100% until I go through it myself. I would prefer to do online training, but I want to get experience in general first. As I'd be directly employed by anytime fitness I'll get regular pay, but I'm not sure how their comission structure works, but I'd be doing this after my full time job.

I'm planning on putting a lot of work to make sure I get as much good results for clients as possible to slowly build my client base, expand more onto online when I have a bigger online presence, and see where it goes from there, as I currently think that if money was no object, I'd still like to do 1 on 1 coaching in person at least sometimes.
Unfortuantly what @Demondosage said is true. I wish i realized it sooner.

It’s definitely hit and miss, expect about 10 quitters for every 2 good clients. From my experience, as soon as they see the reality of it all in terms of diet commitment and discomfort, they probably think to themselves ,”maybe this isn’t something I really want to do.”

What you need to learn is that YOU can’t want it more than they want it. Statistically most are going to quit and get sub-par results at best. And don’t load the weights for them, as soon as you begin doing that you’re seriously fucking up! You make those lazy fucks adjust the machines and load plates themselves! In all honestly, training in person made me hate fatties even more
These two sentences cheered me up, I'm laughing out loud!

I think doing the math can really open your eyes. I don’t know much about training out of a retail gym, but around here many smaller gyms charge the trainer about $700-900 month as a usage fee to bring their clients in. Trainers usually charge about $40 for 45 minutes to an hour. So say you somehow filled your schedule and are training 40 hours a week at $40 a session. That’s on $1600/week pre taxes and health insurance. Except that’s not likely. You’ll more than likely spend more than 40 hours a week between training and finding clients. Many clients are only available to train in the morning or evening. So let’s say you’ve got 20 hours a week of clients. That’s $800 a week, $3200 a month, minus $700 for the gym fee, $2500. Then there’s the cost of finding clients. Apps like thumbtack charge $30 per contact, and only some of those work out. But you’re putting in 40-60 hours a week of work. It just doesn’t work out for most people.

This exactly, and it blows, as i waited long to realize. Dammit. This to a T. Personal training is only good as a side job.
this, if you know any young person who thinks being a personal trainer is a good career pursuit, id steer them in a different direction. simple puppy and dmand. its a low paying job anyone can do and is not paid well and has no chance at advancement, career outlook, prestige, etc. its a "gig"

Now, you are going to hear a lot of advice and talk about “keep it professional” between the lonely housewives and yourself, the trainer. They’ll tell you things like not to sleep with them, not to entertain their advances, and this is not good advice to follow at all.

What you really need to do is look at that like a fringe benefit to the job and fuck the everloving shit out of them! A lot of ppl are going to look down on trainers and these women with rich husbands are going to come in and bitch abt the guy and try using you like some sort of therapist. You’re basically some cheap therapist their husband signed them up for while he’s out banging the secretary at work, just something to give them to get into and keep them busy and productive.

Take that vibe of being looked down at, you get that bitch on her knees and make her start looking up to you! Pretty soon you’ll realize that fucking those bitches is one of the only things good abt the job. Hopefully you’ll have some folding cash for a few draft beers or something

But if you can be good at a gym with alot of old people who come out of physical therapy. I think that is the way. Because they need that after they get done. As this one guy was korean, he trained all the koreans, and the elderly, because white elderly trust asians. And he would stretch them lightly and do light work. The gym would charge the client 120$ a session, and the trainer only made 50$ of it, which is bullshit. But he had a full day. So believe it or not, location is huge, this korean guy worked in a highly korean neighborhood and was the only one who spoke english and korean.

Some upper class box gyms can bring some wealth. But the real money hyptheticall is doing your own thing.

That said, it is very difficult. Because personal training is being a saleman, and a trainer, and a therapist

id argue getting a real job and having $$ and buying escorts will yield more sex, more money, and less time wasted than being some thirsty trainer/buddy/therapist for old houswives. And less drama. I never give my cell number to co workers, when im not at work im off the radar, fuck off. He gives them his number now they text him for mental health, questions about diet, etc. Thats gotta be annoying having job related shit going to your personal cell.

It is true, and first of all, these are the qualities of a salesperson and the ability to conduct a dialogue with people, while the professional qualities of a coach are already secondary.

Working as a coach = great job, but it's more of a calling to help people and of course less often who can make some serious money.

Making sure to show value it what you offer. There is actually a orientation class on how to do this. There is steps that yield a higher rate of buy in.

Old, young, whatever works!! One day you get to a phase in life that I call the “yea…that’ll work” phase. Hahahaa

id argue personal trainers offer very little value to society. if they quit their jobs, all of them, not much would change, not the obesity rate, nothing

It depends, I think 1 on 1 for a gym with ppl that signed up on a whim offers very little and it’s more due to ppl in general than the trainers themselves. Now, if you specialize in something for ppl that are serious and want to know abt nutrition, anabolic, individualized routines, that can certainly be more rewarding from my own experience. It’s a small percentage of course, but when they make a long term change that enhances their life it can be rewarding. But that 1 on 1 shit for a gym? Nah man….you’re nothing but a source of accountability for someone with little discipline

True story…I began charging business ppl such as attorneys and doctors a contract price to train with me. They would pay half up front and the other half at the 6 week mark on a 12 week training course(if they were coming into my world during gym time I made damn good and sure they paid good money to do it)

One time I had a local attorney meet me at a coffee shop and sign on with me, he paid me $700 that day and the remaining $700 would be due 6 wks into it, he trained with me 1 day and then went awol!!! Easiest $700 I ever made

Yes making sure the people pay up front is how you do it. Because then they feel they either go or lose money.

Yep, I learned a long time ago standing outside a gym at 4:45am in the cold waiting on a client who never showed up or called to cancel ahead of time, FUCK PAY PER SESSION!

And you make a cancel fee of like 10$ or something, which i havent done. But gyns do that. If you dont cancel ahead of time 24 hours, you get charged. It sounds rough, but its the only way. I have drove 45 minutes to the gym to get there, and to just have to drive 45 minutes back home. That is like 10$ in gas.

could be true but overall I think if all personal trainers quit their jobs, society would not be worse off. they add little value. none of us needed a trainer to get fit. we are not genetic elite, we are jut like the fantasies we just whipped open a computer watched videos read forums learned how to eat and lift. anyone can do it. people who want stuff spoon fed to them, pathetic. if they didn't have trainers they would have to learn it on their own. or they would join a gym and see what people re doin an do it, talk to people about nutrition. I wont be the one talking to them because I want you to leave me alone at the gym and fuck off but other people are social and will tell them what to do for free.
