HPLC vs GCMS

I know there has been discussion on this but I couldnt find what I was looking for. Which one is better for determining purity of a raw sample?

it depends on the chemist only to know the job.

If you are looking for quantitative / concentration data on a sample then HPLC is the standard. If you simply want to know the mW of your sample / qualitative test then you would have a MS performed.

Are you trying to determine the concentration of a product or just identify what it is?
