HST training and Juice

Been reading up on HST here, and got all excited from the HST site also, because quite honestly after doing this for 20 years and being nowhere near where I thought I'd be, this seems to answer all of the questions I've had roaming around in my mind.

But what I haven't found is a relation to a juice cycle and HST, perhaps simply because they are entirely seperate unrelated entities, unless you were doing very short cycles of test.

I also like HST because I'm small boned and prone to injuries, currently suffering elbow swelling and wrist pain. The 3x a week high rep, low weight cycles you begin with seem ideal for recovery. I've already had to take a week off from the pain anyway.

BUT, unfortunately for me, I injured myself during the 5th week of a 12 week cycle, and taking time off while on juice seems such a waste of nut shrinkage (smile).

I guess my question is pretty basic, do roids matter with HST? For instance, normally I work out every day, but on hst, there is so much REST, do you not take orals (winstrol for instance) on rest days?

Forgive my newbie questions, but somewhere I was led to believe orals were short lived, being ED, having something like a 9 hour useful lifespan.

On the other hand, since Winnie is an anti-catabolic androgen, I guess it makes sense to take it daily...

Any thoughts at all on juice and HST would be appreciated. For now, I plan on starting HST monday with my first 15 rep cycle. Given my being on week 6 of juice, perhaps someone will slap my face and call me Sally, or better yet, give my a blanky and let me comfort myself in the corner.

HST is working great for me. don't change your cycle patterns because of it. even if your taking orals on your off days your still growing and repairing.IMO................11

After talking to a few guys that have done AAS + HST, I have a somewhat decent idea on how to set it up. HST is nearly exactly the same. Most guys I talked to advocated a higher volume, as in 3 sets for each movement. Also, if you do a prolonged cycled, you do not need to SD.

I would run the orals every day.

As I have always mentioned when people consider AAS + HST, dont push to your true RM when you get to the 5th and 6th workouts. HST brings about some nice strength gains on its own, and adding AAS to it only makes strength gains even more incredible. Set up your program and weights from the very beginning, all 8 weeks for the first HST cycle. Stick to those weights, despite your actual strength being much higher (most likely). AAS + HST = big strength gains and a much higher chance for tendon/muscle tears. So be careful.

BTW, an IFBB pro who uses HST exclusively just won the Danish Grand Prix.

Here is a link to the HST board and a pic of the guy. http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=14;t=2735

Holy cow... Great physique!

(now if he'd only tan his face too! It looks like someone photoshopped a head on!)

Thanks for the advice, that's the sort of thing you would know otherwise... greater volume... On the other hand, I'm a hard gainer by nature, so maybe for the first cycle I'll stay strict with the program. My problems are often based on the faulty 'more is better' gene in men.

Thanks
