I have been cutting since mid September with a local coach and I made progress for a while but it stalled, I think in a huge part because I was given no adjustments or how to adjust properly on my own(I specifically said I wanted this whole thing to be a learn process so I could just naturally do things but was taught nothing). I have in the last couple weeks cut the coach because communication over the last month and a half was spotty at best, no teaching/learning opportunities, was only given in person help twice after asking for form checks on a couple more things then I’d be good, and asking if my diet should be adjusted since I’m now 181lbs and started at 208lbs and was just told “maybe we can cut a little bit of carbs but not much” even though progress stalled. I have made progress which is cool. I’ve only been using 500mg test, was instructed on microdosing Reta which I use .75mg eod and have been for ten weeks, and as of a few weeks ago I’m using 3IU gh. I was microdosing a couple other peptides but I don’t think they made any difference. I’m very much so willing to be coached and have done everything I’m told to do but like after four months, I’m no where close to where I should’ve been at this point in the projection. I wanted to compete for the first time this June but I am going to go ahead and be realistic and say that’s not gonna happen. I started this probably around 23% BF and am probably sitting in the 15-17% range now(all guessing). I could very barely see a line where my upper abs would be at the beginning, now I can a bit more easily see that area of abs and a stronger definition around the V area. The plan was to do a two month bulk to bring up lagging parts at the end of this cut in two weeks, run some NPP (and for whatever reason ) along with 4IU gh. However, my body fat is still way too high to start a bulk IMO because I’d certainly just rebound a large portion of what I’ve lost and by the end of the bulk I’d be 12 weeks out. Not enough time to properly cut down. After I read whatever I could find on the internet that seemed credible, I’ve cut down my carbs calories a bit but I’m still at around 3000 total calories, 250g coming from protein. My fats are a little drizzle of olive oil to cook chicken with, half an avocado, and about a tablespoon of almond butter, then the rest is carbs(jasmine rice, sourdough bread, and two rice cakes).
At this point, I think forming a realistic goal of just preparing to looking good for the summer and a vacation that would’ve been immediately after the show is my best bet. And then come down to a cruise level of test for the first couple months of summer then start the bigger bulk I had planned for September-December.
I want to have at least a little more muscle mass on my frame but more importantly, I want to visibly see my abs for the first time going into summer. Which IMO, would’ve been a very realistic goal seeing as how I started this plan in September but I Do Not want to waste anymore time. Everyday counts and four or five months will pass in the blink of an eye.
What do I do? Start from scratch and start a fresh cut? I don’t mind using anabolics to get there but I’m somewhat of a minimalist on them(however now I’m like fuck it let’s do them all due to frustration). I’d love to get linked up with a quality coach to help get me there because I do want to compete at some point. I’m not knowledgeable enough at this point to do it on my own. I understand my limitations in this realm but I’m extremely willing to learn.
