I Want A Cigarette

Just thought I'd let you all know that I've not had a single drag.
I'm done with it.
My girlfriend said that any one who measures their food should have the discipline to do anything they want......I kind of agree now.
I am glad I've not been cutting the past weeks.....that would have made me a moody SOB for sure.
So, for those of you who are wanting to quit, if I can do it............

congrats,
im smoking havent had it in me to quit yet, good for you, envy you, dont go back!

For the past few years, I have a habit of smoking a couple of ultra-lite cigs to help me relax right before trying to sleep at night. Anyone who was a 2-pack a day smoker for three decades and has successfully quit is one tough son of a bitch.

Hey, thick and Phreezer, I've got a big, three finger pinch in right now. In fact, I think I need to pop a little more in there. Bwahahahahahah!!!!

Occam- From what I"ve been told, the physical addiction to nicotine is past in 3 days. If that is the case, then I think the patch is a bad idea. You are simply prolonging your addiction to the nicotine. Certainly, you can suck it up for 3 days.

For the addiction to the act, I'd follow the advice of the other guys. Definitely don't drink! I know that one is true.

FYI T&P- I just threw in a little more chew and it tastes GOOD!

I stopped the patch after the first week.
I got to the point that I felt like a simp for not being able to control myself.
I think getting mad at myself was the final step......so no patch no zyban after that week.
I hope it doesn't sound too self congratulatory, but I feel good about getting through the initial phase.
I know I'm past it now.
I swear doing ED pokes helped to internalize the commitment, if that makes any sense.

Side note...........fucking sick this week, lost 5 pounds and am having to choke down my food.....night sweats are worse than normal.....yuck.
I still managed to keep intensity in the gym though, took two days off and feel kind of bad about it, especially since I'm still suffering.
I guess there are few "perfect" cycles.
