when people say return to tradition values, when are they talking about? our country has never been better imho, if we go back anywhere its a problem for someone, go back 50 years problem for blacks / women, go back 100 problem for italian another 50 problem for me and the rest of the irish, we are moving twords true freedom, what aboslute good should there be other than that, i took a class on authoritarianism and those type of personalities and how it effects politics, one of thier biggest truths so to speak, is that we must return to some better past, its always used, now if we really look back, what was so good? leave it to beaver wasnt the reality, country was a harsh place for alot of people, freedom was a word used but not felt by many

The backlash could be ugly if it occurs, we could see an extremist revival movement on a greater scale than the (wannabe) anti-establishment effort. It could hit corporate America and cause a severe rumble in our economy. It frightens me to consider a righteousness movement......it could become very nazi-like.

We are considering Hogglets but plan to have a solid 2 years to ourselves. If it happens, we will consider our options. She does not want to stay home for more than 4-6 months even if we do end up having children. I'd wager that a nanny might be in order. On the other hand, if I am further along in my career track, it might behoove us for her to become a non-contributing member of the household.

Good idea on the few years by yourself without kids. If Jewel and I get married next year (hopefully shes not reading this thread), then I would like a good 3-5 years before having kids. That will put me at about 30 for the first kid and her at about 28. We have pretty much already decided that she will stay home to care for the kids (till they reach what age is still being debated). By then, my career should be doing quite nicely and the loss of her income really wont matter at all. With my current job, support from my boss/owner, and the growth of the company, I expect to hit your current income within the 6-12 months (possibly sooner), and double that less than a year later.

i believe we are in the backlash now or the start of it at least, we went through a shockwave of change in past ten years imo, i know when i was little we had none of the shit going on there is now, i think people will look twoard the republican party in up coming elections and i think the stern mention works in here, the agenda of the fcc is going to work real nice for the republicans in the upcoming elctions, there are alot of people who dont like whats happened to our country through the 90's, i dont mean to attack the republican party, i voted for bush and im going to again, i like less governemnt, even though bush has spent a freakin ton, ill ignore it for now lol, and i like his strong determination to take it to the terroists, i just have this feeling that republicans have picked up on the growing discontent with our social values and will win on it, thats going way off the deepend of anything educational, but i feel it, every revolution has its backlashes, this one will to, i dont think it will go further back then we have come forward, not enough energy

LOL.....optimism is a good trait friend, just do not become excessively frustrated if you do not pull down the kind of numbers that your mind conjures up. I was a mess at the age of 25-27 because I expected to be making a certain amount of money.

Well aware of those downfalls and I do have a tendency to let my optimism frustrate me at times. With the way that my job is set up, its really not hard at all to pull down those numbers. The market is huge and Im only looking for a tiny piece of the pie. Its all about setting up new accounts, taking orders every week or three and making sure customer service is the best available. I do think those numbers will happen and in the time frames mentioned. It wont be a cakewalk, but they are without a doubt attainable. Now, if I said the doubling in 6-12 months, THAT would be very aggressive. Doable, but much more difficult.

We can each get our careers flying high, then you and the Ms/Mrs and Jewel and I can all meet up in Cozumel for a week or two of fun and sun.

good to hear your back in church. So many people frown down upon the church. They say they are full of hipocrits. The thing is we are all sinners. What is important is knowing that God is the only God. And god sent his only son to die on the cross for our sorry butts. To me a true christian is someone who realizes the above statement and tries being loving and forgiving towards everyone. Everyone sins but I feel that what seperates people is those that realize they did wrong and ask for forgiveness and then try to become a better christian.
