ID to send WU?

I've never been asked for an ID to send a Western Union.. It was Sending to China for Powders.. Should I go ahead? Should I use it to get my stuff? I've never heard of an ID to send things.. It's only $530 to china.. Thanks.

go to a different wu. dont...... I repeat do not....... give ID!

I went to a different WU and in a different City.. They said the same thing.. So, I tried a 3rd and again same thing. Call me stupid, but I used my ID. I've done it before with other things from India, and nothing happened.. I figured you must have to show ID to send to China. It's a respected source on the Board, so I feel confident..
