Ideal filter media

can someone tell me the ideal filter media for homebrew? nylon, PVDF, PTFE???

i dont think it matters, what your filtering will not break down any of those filters. I would guess that different filter media becomes a priority if what youre filtering has properties that can degrade the filter material. With all that said, I THINK that PTFE is the least reactive of all those, again, i dont think it matters with your application.

Please note: I might be wrong. I would get the cheapest myself, however.

Without getting into it much nylon is best for BA and BB excipients according to the literature, but I have no direct experience with this. Hopefully Elliot can chime in on this, I believe she has been experimenting with different types.

The cylinder shaped kind? Arent all bottle top filters cylindrical?

Some are square shaped, with cylindrical adapters I believe.
