That is one mean spider. Also in the south is the Black Widow! When I was in the military in Florida our shop was full of Black Widow's. A cool looking spider, but you would not want to be bit by one!

A friend of mine got bit by a recluse in Pittsburgh.....he works on barges and one came up from down south....god was on his side....his hand started to swell and they took him to the hospital....the doc was from the South and knew exactly what it was! He still has a nice scare from it!
