IM injection in thigh

Muscle soreness in virgin muscle that has never had an injection is normal. Post injection sweats is odd though. Where exactly did you inject your quad? I added a photo so you have a basic understanding of where you should pin your quad.

i inject right above where that left side of the top of the M in this diagram above, and i go strightt in at 90* not from side like most quad shots i have seen on you tube etc,, but the injection is within that box ,
 
i do my injection in the #1 "at the top of muscle" in IMG_0565.webpthis picture, with a 1" 25 g nipro needle i recently tried #2 in picture but its more tender than i thought , even though the injection went nice a smooth, , low volume too,,

I’m more over into #2 on the side. I’ll have to try more on top of that quad and see how that works. I mostly avoid quads now except for TNE. It’s gonna hurt anyway so might as well be quads.
 
Just finished my 1st cycle. Did butt, delts and quads as well as SubQ around abs and into love handles.

The 1st time I did Quads with Test-C they were sore and surface skin was hot for about a week. It was never debilitating. I never felt like I had trouble walking. No fever or anything like that. I was able to work out and run just fine with a little discomfort. This happened to both quads one week apart.

5 weeks later I did the 2nd shot to the quads. This time, I was sore for about 3-4 days. 5 weeks later I did them one last time and this time it was maybe 2-3 days tops. I think the left recovered faster than the right this time.

The body and specific muscles seem to adapt.

For posterity, here was my PIP experience during early experimentation and during actual cycle. Note: 250mg/mL Test-C in MCT oil.

Early on I was testing low dosages and through most of the cycle it was once a week for 250mg at each location (give or take). As I moved up to 500mg a week it became 2 a week. I tried 750mg (3 a week) for a brief while but felt no different so went back to 500mg and ended on that.

I was doing PCT immediately when I started 500mg. I started with 250iu of HCG twice a week with the Test-C and 0.5mg of Arimidex.

Be warned the Arimidex totally crashed my E2 to under 20! Im old, so for me, low E2 = knee issues. My knees loved being at 40-50 range for E2.

Now at the end of the cycle, i have 2 weeks of HCG and I upped it to 500iu EOD. At that point I will do the normal nolvadex + clomid as folks recommend for another two weeks.

I will say that I dont need to do any of the PCT due to my age. I already have kids so I dont really care if my balls shrink or not. But right now I am testing my body. I need to know what does and doesnt work just in case I need it in the future and I need to see how it impact my vitals, namely E2, lipids and BP. Once I have all that down, and I see how each compound impacts me, I will probably not PCT in the future and just move to a cruise.
 
By each location do you mean you pinned each muscle once a week at first?

yes that is correct. I switched between left and right gluts, left and right delts and left and right quads (with exception to early pins to delts). So 6 locations total. I never went more than 1mL to each location.

So when I was doing 250mg/wk, it was one of the 6 locations per week. It took 6 weeks to get back to the same quad.

When I moved to 500mg/wk, it was two locations per week so the quads were hit every 3rd week.
 
Almost got enough nerve to try the thigh this morning with 100mg mast prop but not today didn’t get enough sleep to hold my nerve
I find the thighs is the easiest and quickest location. Once you get used to hitting it anyway. Delta are just as easy but I like the idea of my oil soaking up in the large muscled in the legs.
 
Great resource, thanks for this. I managed to snag a nerve or something several weeks ago when pinning my quads, the skin between the site and my knee is STILL not fully awake :rolleyes: Seems like thighs always bleed a couple drops too. Glutes and delts have been friendlier to me but I'd like to be able to utilize all the surface area those quads provide LOL.

I dont think Ive seen an official definition for what PIP is nor how to measure how much pain or annoyance it takes for something to be considered "PIP." Maybe im using the wrong term.

If we consider muscle soreness PIP, then yes. Ive never done a 1mL injection that did not result in at least 1 day of muscle soreness.

If we consider PIP to be more severe than just soreness, then probably not. But what if the soreness lasts 3+ days? Is that annoying enough to be considered PIP? What about sore lumps that do hurt if you actually bend them? How about sensitive and inflamed skin like a rash? It doenst hurt per se, unless you actually rub it.

In my case its just the soreness. Its not debilitating in any way. I just ignore it and go about my day. It doesnt slow me down at the gym but its definitely there if I poke.

maybe its the size needle your using? idk , but i do several injections per week of up to three compounds and can never tell "where i injected" i use a fresh 25 g needle after i've pulled all compounds into syringe,, Ymmv,,

The pin location itself doesnt hurt. Its the muscle that gets sore usually after 4-8 hours and lasts for the rest of the day.

Not sure how long you have been doing this but that was literally the 1st cycle in my life and really, each muscle has only been hit about 6 times since I am cycling between 6 locations (not including the early subq stuff). I have no frame of reference to reflect on but my guess is after a few years the soreness will just stop?
