k bros im sure you;ve all heard bout that company out in cali that was supplyin some pro athletes with designer drugs such as thg, well recently in an article in usa today they talked about what they found in one of the chemists homes and all that shit, one thing they found was EPITESTERONE! it is a substance that hides the presence of testosterone in the bloodstream, so in other words is pretty much a cover drug. do any of you bros know anything bout this drug, or if it is available on the black market for people? please give info if you are knowledgable on the kinda thing

its not really a cover drug...when your body produces its natural test....it also produces epitest....in amore or less equal amount...when someone administers exogenous testosterone...there is no increase in epitestosterone levels..therefore the ratio of test to epitest is thrown off...this is the way steroid tests check for testosterone usage....they allow a 6/1 ratio to still pass i bbelieve....anything above that tests positive for testosterone use...so if you have epitest....you can make it seem like your hella high test levels are actually natural....

You're right on all accounts, but epi-testosterone is on IOC the banned list too.

Are you a NCAA or Pro Athlete? If not then you shouldent worry or concern yourself about it. Testing for Steriods is very expensive, and normal companys never test for them just because of the expense factor.

17-epitestosterone is basically a weak androgen relative to testosterone. The basic principle that epitestosterone levels remain stable regardless of how much exogenous testosterone you use is basically true. But doping tests can be challenged b/c there's a high degree of variability between individuals and epitestosterone levels actually change with age. So testosterone peaks in your twenties but epitestosterone doesn't peak until the mid-30s. In fact, if you take 4-androstene 3,17-dione one of the downstream metabolites is 17-epitestosterone. I've seen at least one study showing epitestosterone acts as an anti-androgen in some animal tissue.

As for using epiT to mask AAS use Don Catlin (arguably one of the world's foremost authorities on AAS detection has got that base covered).

Here's what I know about the subject. This applies to IOC drug testing, can't say for other organizations. Your testicles produce testosterone and epitestosterone. While these two compounds are not produced in a 1 to 1 ratio they are typically excreted in a one 1:1 ratio. So when you administer exogenous test. you throw this ratio off. If your ratio is under 6:1 then no one will pay you any mind. But since there is variation in the population on this ratio, (i.e. some people have a higher ratio for there whole life for instance.) a ratio above 6:1 does not automatically result in a positive drug test. If you test high they will do a timeline on your drug tests. so they will test you latter and see if you always have a higher ratio. If your ratio is always going up and down they will say that it's because you are administering test..
One way around this is to administer epitestosterone to keep your ratio in line with what is considered as not suspicious. there is talk of a carbon isotope test which is basically a way to see if the test. and epitest. in your body is synthetic or not. As far as I know though this has not been approved for IOC drug testing. hope this helps.
