Increasing my dose!?

My endo called my WIFE's cell phone (apparently she made an impression when I took her to the last apt.) and told her that my tests came back alittle low and that they would be increasing my dosage.

Right now I'm taking 150mg every 10 days. The lab test, to which, they are refering was taken the day before my 3rd shot (29 days into the therapy). They didn't leave an actual measurement on the message, but I'll find out on Monday.

WTF!? How could my T still be low after 150mg, even if it was 9 days after the shot!? Doesn't the cypionate ester actually desolve over time, so it will last longer in the body?

I am confused.

I am doing 150 mgs. every week and on the 6th day I feel like I need a shot. Try doing it every week after you talk to your DR.

hmmm... I will, but I doubt he'll budge from the every 10 days protocol. Which is weird because the ester has a half-life of 7 days. hmmmmm

I think he wants me to go up to 200mg every 10 days.

the effects have more to do with the size of the dose and its half-life. Hence the time since the last shot may be the determining factor here.

if i were you i would get a second DR. to speak with if you plan on doing this for life.
please dont take my advise on dosege ;though 150 mgs. every 7 days is much smarter than 200 every 10.
i would bet you would be able to cut down to 100mgs after a while if you went every 7.
get a second dr's advise!!!!

The problem you have is that if you want to be in the upper range for the first few days after the shot, you'll be in the lower end of the range by the 9th or 10th day. Upping the dosage will potentially put you ABOVE the upper end of the range for the first few days. That kind of swinging is not only not as healthy, but you also won't feel as well either. Ideally you should be injecting every 7 days at the most.
