Infection survey

Anybody ever infected by their own brew? You often hear ugls infecting people or people believing they've been infected. Gotta wonder whether ugl are run by slapdicks or is it competitors bad mouthing.

Personally never had any issues. I used clean instruments and filtered into open vials that I cap at the end. Leads me to believe sterilization methods are overrated unless you have a compromised immune system.

I think when labs like mikestrong get to big and outsource they just dont care at all. Among other things. I had a vial from him with shit stuck to the bottom and im pretty sure it was there before bottling by the way it looked. Kinda think it was a recycled bottle. I tossed that shit though.

Some people are also much more prone to infection and illness.

I think a competitor would be the most rare case.

I've had a few sterile abcess's nothing that ever sent me to the hospital but if I was anyone else I woulda probably went after a 2 weeks of a swollen limb or ass that hurt and was rock hard and swollen red.
I think it boils down to once these guys hit the big league and orders start pouring in there quality control suffers or fails and that's when problems occur.
It's never a bad idea to refilter ugl gear imo.

Having an autoclave and hood are overkill. Plus 99.9% of UGLs won't have that.

Pretty sure a lot of UGLs microwave their products to heat it up to speed up the melting of powder in solvents. Read the story of pinnacle labs to confirm that.

If you don't brew your own stuff I'd recommend sticking to a low volume dealer.

They are slapdicks. Personally I feel better with my own gear. If it is you or someone you know well, you are reasonably safe.

Forgot to mention that, yes I have heard of guys fucking up with hb. It's lazy fucks who don't think they need to filter their gear.

I paid a couple hundred bucks for an autoclave that a local mexican was selling because his tattoo shop was folding up. Im not sure how much an ass cheek costs removal is but Im gonna gamble on the autoclave. I have yet to get an infection from my gear, but with decent procedure and careful filtering, the BA should protect you. I'm more worried about getting an infection at the point of administration.
