Influence lab results for Test by dilution?

Hey guys...so my endo has been taking blood to check my T levels. I am on TRT of 300mg/2 weeks. My trough has been in the high 100's/low 200's. He wanted to either raise the amount or shorten the time between shots. He took the peak...then the trough and after the trough blood test, I figured that was gonna be it and took another 100mg which ended up being a mistake. I got a call later that day saying that he wanted to check it after 10 days. I am a paramedic and can start a line on myself.

My question is...since Test is measured in nanograms of Test per deciliter of blood...would putting a bag or two of fluid into my blood lower the results? He is only testing for total Test this time.

1. Yes, IVing or even drinking a lot will increase the blood volume and therefore dilute all previous constituents (such as testosterone). This is very nicely observed in people drinking a lot of beer and it causes "Munich heart syndrome."

2. It is a stupid idea and you risk serious health issues, including death, if you try to achieve any significant dilution.

Thanks for the reply...however it would only be 500-1000ml of normal saline. I just didn't know if they diluted the sample anyway to a set amount to get consistent results or if they just test what they are given.

That would provide about 8-15% volume above the normal, which would probably be mostly filtered out by your kidneys by the time you get to the doctor - unless you of course want to use IV saline minutes before you enter his office.

Subsequent dilutions of the sample are always accounted for...


TLDR: don't have stupid ideas and if you really really REALLY feel like doing something, down a 2 liter bottle of water just before you have the blood taken.

I have thought about that...but can't really come up with anything that wouldn't sound suspicious. I'm waiting till later in the day to take it. Have been taking Calcium D-glucarate to try to get rid of some and a water pill for the same reason. Haven't taken the water pill today obviously. I will probably take Jano's advice and drink a shitload of water. I don't need to knock it down much. He wants it in the 500's and I am guessing I am somewhere in the high 600's low 700's. I've also thought about coming clean with him if it comes back high and telling him that I just wanted to see how I felt on 400mg. He already knows that 300mgwasnt doing the trick. I just don't want him to cut me off. He is a new doctor so I don't know which way he will go.

Injecting saline to fool test like this IS a stupid idea, that's what was on my mind.
No need to get butthurt.

Imo coming clean with your doctor is not a bad idea either.

He is a doctor not a parole officer. People miss test dates all the time.

I don't think he will like the idea of you taking the liberty to experiment on a controlled substance without his consent.

Well once he gives it to you he can't take it away. Since your body isn't producing anymore. I would just get the bloods done and see what happens. You will probably need to take 200 mg a week. If he bloods are to high just say you injected the wrong amount be accident and did the wrong math.

I tired that and my bloods were higher then before 350.... when the time I got bloods and I did sleep and did the morning test it was 280.

So your attempting to hide the fact you're supplementing more TT than what your physician prescribed!

Such subterfuge is just another reason wby I've posited over and over again, keep cycling and physician prescribed TRT SEPARATE.

Depending upon your body habitus, sounds like your Doc already suspects your running AAS on the side and AIH is the reason for your "low T"

It's the LIE that gets you and covering for the first lie leads to another and another.

All for TRT, fella I'd suggest you develop a sense of integrity!

The only other thing to imply is that the injector is not very clear on the fact that these aren't acute action drugs
