In addition, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) General Chapter 797 [http://www.cdc.gov/migration/injectionsafety/providers/references.html#ref16] recommends the following for multi-dose vials of sterile pharmaceuticals:

• If a multi-dose has been opened or accessed (e.g., needle-punctured) the vial should be dated and discarded within 28 days unless the manufacturer specifies a different (shorter or longer) date for that opened vial.

Thats from the cdc website. so my question: if you brew up a batch of your favorite aas and then inject into presealed sterile vials. do you have any concerns with bacteria entering the hole made in stopper when injecting/venting? you would use some of that batch well after the 28 days the cdc recommends. is the cdc just taking extra precaution and you wouldn't worry about using a pierced vial months or even a year or so later?

The rubber reveals to prevent oil escaping or things getting in unless you use a huge needle it might break of a chunk. The benzyl alcohol keep the gear sterile in a sterile environment. Toss the vials after use as you will slowly ruin the rubber stopper

I don't use pre sealed sterile vials. I buy them open and unsterile and sterilize them myself. After I seal them I use them until done and I'm talking about 20, 50, and 100ml vials so they get used for a long time. I've also opened them back up when done, cleaned and re-sterilized them and reused them

I use sterile vials and for myself only I've used them twice.
Never any problems.
But I do try to make a habit take a piece of wax paper or foil or even plastic .tape it where it conceals the rubber stopper.but honestly I guarantee you brew it rite with 1 to 3 cc of benzyl alcohol per 100 mills it should be safe 2 years in a 40 to 70 degree atmosphere like keep in a basement or a controlled environment if you're one who as a house that stays 70 degrees all year round keep it away from light
I want to believe if we brew everything and bottle it .I would like to think it would last longer brewed then in raw form.im not sure. I am wanting to make enuff or store enuff for five years.i am going to research this hope I helped some I've brewed for myself for 2 years now

They can be recycled.When guys ask me about home brewing I suggest they order pre sealed sterile vials . It is the safest for a guy just getting started.

As far as contamination, the larger the vial I use, the higher the ba concentration. With a 10ml vial you can use 1-2% ba. If I were brewing and used a 20-30 ml vial, I would use 2-3% ba to help keep it clean.

One thing you can do to ensure you don't damage the stopper and contaminate your gear is to be patient and not use a 20 gauge pin to draw your gear, and never reuse the same pin to draw your gear.
