Injection safety practices

Hey everyone,

Curious to know about everyone's stance on injection safety. Currently I wash my hands with hand sanitizer before injecting, and also use a disposable covid mask whenever sick , as to avoid sneezing onto the injection site.

Is there anything more I could be doing?

Never had an incident besides the occasional post-injection swelling but I prefer to be risk-averse.

welll , i get in my "bubble boy suit" before i even crack a vial, i don't want any contamination when i do a simple injection, , Better safe than SORRRRY,,

you could also use the disinfection paper on the top of the vial. i personally think its overkill

You're doing more than enough. Way more than me for sure.

I'm a total knuckle dragger at least I try not to sneeze on the injection site immediately before pinning.

I mean, you ARE cleaning vial caps and injection site w/ iso alcohol hopefully.
If using multi vials, there is a way to draw out of each without mixing, look it up. Masking with COVID to inject gear, wild dude, lol.

For peptides I don't even use alcohol wipes half the time, always on intramuscular.. seems like your doing enough.. the mask isa little much In my opinion but if that gives you extra peice of mind..... go for it!
Peace
DH

So many haters on this site, it's too funny. Bottom line, as a society, we overcomplicate cleanliness. I remember seeing a poster in a hospital bathroom that wants you to use paper towel to turn on the water before washing your hands so you don't touch the faucet. Then use a fresh paper towel to turn the water off. Then they cry about waste.

Civilization survived thousands of years just fine, I doubt a few germs are going to kill us. Use common sense, don't let some YouTube or chatgpt fear monger you into some stupid shit.

Extra layer of safety you could definitely use alcohol wipes

i remember watching a Boston Lloyd video circa 2015 maybe 2016 where he was shooting shit in his jeep outside of the gym. no alcohol prep, reusing needles, no regard to the most basic cleanliness. i was not shocked when he passed.

isopropyl alcohol is cheap and seems to work well.

Idk if you watched that entire video, but he had a used rag covered in dry blood. Just wiping away with it.

I haven't used wipes in 13 years and I've pretty much done daily (or twice a day if over 3ml) IM injections since non stop + peptides daily as well. Sometimes I reuse peptide syringes for a few days. I'm pretty sure I've injected peptides through my shirt a few times because I was too lazy to take my clothes off.

And I'm over here wiping my vial top every time. Through the shirt is intense my guy

You're washing your hands with like soap, first, right? And cleaning the injection site (soap & water or an alcohol wipe)?

Do the basics before improvising weird stuff like wearing a mask or using hand sanitizer

I feel like I should ask if you ever re-use or share needles or syringes
