Howdy MESO,
Thanks for having me.

I’m 34m from Australia currently trying to manage back pain (disk degeneration) in my lower back.
I’ve come to do my own research regarding building a stronger body and minimise everyday pain.
As a recreational drug user, I appreciate the community focus on harm minimisation I’ve picked up on so far that comes from the grey/black market.
I’m sure most of the questions I’ve got to start will be answered in previous posts.
But looking forward chatting,

Peace

That's a heck of an anterior pelvic tilt. Working to fix that will probably help you quite a bit.

The doctor thinks I have Scheuermann's disease.
I’ve been seeing a Chiropractor for roughly the last 12 months to try and get some natural curve back in my spine.
I need to do more as I feel it’s not really improving.

Thanks for the starting point, I’ll look into that.

Your vertebrate look rectangular

Are you doing anything for core strength right now?

A Chiropractor is not going to change the shape of your spine.

Only you can do that with regular strength conditioning

This guy has some good info for different types of pelvic tilt.

Watch some of his other videos and start doing the type of stretching and core training he demonstrates

And start doing pullups

I’ve been doing a few basic core exercises before and after work mainly just on the floor on my room (I work away from home 2 weeks at a time)
The week I’m home I spend a lot of time in the hydrotherapy pool and sauna stretching.
I had been using my pain as an excuse to not train. But like you said it’s not going to get any better without regular training.

Thanks for the video, I’m a bit lost when it comes down to where to start.
Much appreciated.

Your condition is not the fault of your spine.

Your muscles control your spine.

Strengthen them and you will likely see improvement

Building strength is a long road.

Learn as much as you can. Make a plan. Focus on progression.

Train like a gymnast

This is another video that might be helpful

Yeah 100%.
I might add that the xray posted was taken roughly 1.5 years ago. So I would like to think my pelvic tilt has improved slightly since that imagining was done. I’m not in as much pain as I was, but I have a long way to go.

I have been watching his videos. He goes into great detail which is informative.
I certainly feel like I’m targeting more now.
Thanks for sharing.
