Is 5x5 enough?

Yes 5x5 is great for increasing strength. I did Stronglifts 5x5. Its same as Starting Strength except that there are no power cleans with Stronglifts versus Starting Strength.

Otherwise its basically the same program so depending on whether you want to do power cleans or not (I did not want to do them myself, They seem dangerous)

This routine is what I have been using the last few months. Even on the Hypertorphy days I use a technique called Post-Activation-Potentiation (PAP). This technique allows me to lift slightly heavier weights for more reps than usual. I only use this for Bench and squats.

Post-Activation-Potentiation??

You just have to find a balance between HIIT and the 5x5 routine. You don't want to burn yourself out.

In any case, do you necessarily guide yourself through fatigue ?. The truth is that in fasting with a little coffee, I can do incredible things even while being tired. But sometimes it seems that I find it difficult to burn fat. I guess you're right I should plan the matter better.

Plan implement and follow through bro. You will be good.

5x5 madcow was the first program I've ever used and it helped me so much. If your happy with results and you want to try something a little different I suggest Jim Wendler's 5/3/1
I know there is a website that actually gives u the 135page brook for free u just need to google it.
5/3/1 goes over literally everything and any lifter can learn from it. It's always a program I incorporate EVERY winter to build up thickness and strength.
Good luck mate

No. I don't think there's enough in that program for a good log. I will probably log the next one because I'll pick a program with more to it.
Sounds good. 5/3/1 is pretty good. Get with @Perrin Aybara he has some material that could help guide you. I'm going finish off my usual program. Three more weeks then I'll switch over to 5/3/1 or I'll try RTS. This is my first full week back in the gym the last month was tough for me to get into the gym. But all systems go now.

I'm going to give it a go starting after work tonight. It was the 3day a week that gave me pause.
I'm in need of a change up so it'll be good. Thanks for the input.

You think three days isn't enough at first. It gets hard after awhile and you won't be able to recover enough to continue making progress and then it's time to move to the next stage.

If you want that material @franchise24 is talking about let me know and I'll PM you.
