Is it Normal to Bleed After a Blood Test?

OK my health anxiety is back with a vengeance! And everything points to Cirrhosis of the Liver (in my mind). Today I go for my physical which tends to freak me out for fear of finding something bad. Last month I was having mild cramping on left side, which Dr Google tells me is a sign of an enlarged spleen. As many of you may know, I am always worried about my liver. I used to do a lot of partying. Now I will go out maybe one time every 2 weeks and have 2 or 3 pints of beer at the most. But I worry that the damage has already been done years ago.
Anyway, I mention this to the doc, he examines me, presses here and there and says nothing is enlarged. But he pressed so gently I don't know how he could really tell.
So then the nurse comes in, draws blood, after she pulls out the needle and puts the cotton ball with pressure she pulls it off in a few seconds and its bleeding. She reapplies pressure and tells me to raise my arm. She asks "are you on blood thinners"? I say no. she says usually people on blood thinners don't clot easily.
So this the hell out of me. In my mind I am thinking this is it! Low Platelets due to an enlarged spleen, which all points to portal hypertension and liver disease. I never had this problem of bleeding before. I am terrified. I mention it to the doctor but he didn't seem concerned. He said maybe she put the needle in on a bad angle. Now there is a bruise there.
One thing she did that was odd was rub the wound.
why would she rub it? Wouldn't that open it up and make it bleed more?
And just to add: my Hct is typically high (51-53) and Ferritin is low due to my blood donations, plus when I inject into the muscle every week I almost never, ever see a drop of blood.
Now I will be a nervous wreck until I get the lab results. Guess I am just posting this looking for reassurance
