Is this a dip or a crash?

Well, is it a dip or a crash. Does one buy on this dip? Or three dips from now? Or is this just a nasty crash with no hopes of recovery?

IMO it's not gonna crash anytime soon, or crypto winter or whatever. Too much mass adoption stabilizing the market. I bought ETH @ 3700 last night. Been waiting for a good dip for weeks if not months now. Have a little dry powder lying around for hard dips and leave your emotions elsewhere. Keep a eye on the chart over the next few days as volatility could increase again. Or yes buy now, it be better to buy now than at a all time high. All crypto markets are rebounding quickly

I bought the dip as usual, i bought it at 53.9k because i thought that was the bottom, then i went to the gym, cameback and it was at 43k. sadly i had no more fiat or stablecoins loaded and rdy to buy, otherwuse i wouldve bought more right then and there. Oh well. Been buying btc since it was 4k.

No hopes of recovery? Bro this type of “crash” happens every few weeks. Everytime it happens everyone cries in the corner saying its dead/dying, then it comes roaring back. There is some huge players doing a lot of market manipulations. While that sucks, they are mostly hunting for leveraged traders and new investors who panic sell. Dont panic, and dont use leverage, and you will be fine.

The cats who have been in this for years become jaded to the volatility and just carry on.

100% right. Big money aka whales can knock the price down quick and hard. I don't beleve thats what happened on Friday because it was a market wide event. Usually you will see it on big crypto's like BTC and ETH and only a few cryptos will get hit simultaneously. Since the crypto market is unregulated you can leverage your money 100 to one sometimes more. If someone leverages similar to this and the price goes too low they will get margin called and their position liquidated. Also, whales will do what is known as stop loss hunting. Traders set a automatic sell limit under a area of support within the chart. Whales will intentionally knock the price to those levels, causing the price to drop further. These events are often short lived. As I said previously, this was not the case because it was market wide.

Remember be greedy when others are fearful. Buy low when others are freaking out. The covid shit, possible government shutdown, talks by Jerome Powel, consumer price index reports, creepy fuck Joe Biden doin one of his shitty speeches.

Be fearful when others are greedy. When a market is at a all time high expect a pull back. A positive news release etc. What scares me the most is when stock or crypto's rip too fast. A thousand or several thousand dollar move in a short period of time. These usually don't last long and go down faster and harder than the run, aka stair case up, elevator down.

The market don't give a fuck about your feelings. Be emotionless and remember given enough time, your position will be green. More money is made in a Bear market than a Bull market. Never sell for a loss unless something like bankruptcy of a company or some shit. It's better to average down than to panic sell. My personal rule is I only average down if the position is down 20% or more. First and foremost how the fuck did I get stuck in this shit trade, oops. It's near impossible to time the bottom perfect so don't try. Find where you think a bounce will occur and buy there and DONT panic.

My apologies for the book, thought some may get some useful info.
