Islamic Takeover?

To be fair to the Muslims, I think distinctions need to be made between the extremists and the normal Muslims (like OT).

Thanks for the input guys.

OT.. I did not know it would be Jesus who would lead this revolution. Very enlightening! My BiL always says that Jesus did exist, but the Muslims believe he was a prophet, like Mohammad, and not the son of God.
My question to you is this: Why would Jesus start a revolution against those who dont believe in him with people who dont believe in him( as the son of God)? Also, if Jesus will rule the world how will Mulims rule? I hope to understand, not to contradict so please do not misunderstand my intentions.

PDP.. what are you talking about? Nobody is Bible thumping, we are discussing a misinterpretation of a statement.

I just stumbled upon this thread. I debated whether or not to reply. But this statement really caught my attention. And I think it is what many Americans, probably all westerners, think of Islam. Unfortunately this view is completely backwards. The VAST majority of muslims in the world ARE what we would consider VERY EXTREME. Unfortunately, the " normal " peace loving muslims are greatly outnumbered. The " extremists " are opposed to anything but total Islamic rule. They do not want a free society. Nor do they want people living in their land to have any freedom of choice or religion. They desire with ALL of their hearts to COMPLETELY destroy the jewish people. With Christians being next in line. Anyway, I'm rambling here. And I could go on and on about this topic. I will find a couple of great links to post here a bit later.

I would like OT to respond to this, as he is a Muslim and also lives in the Middle East.

I am far from an expert on Islam and extremists, but I think this example would be similar to the whole gay-rights movement in the US right now. They are a very small minority of our population but have managed to get a very large voice and are making changes because of that. Those with the biggest voice wins. Unfortunately.

I THINK this should work. There are many great articles on Islam here.

Everyone should have an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns. We dont have to agree and it doesnt make them wrong.

I cannot dispute that Jews do not like Muslims, as Muslims do not like Jews. It cuts both ways SuperJew.

Can you tell me why it is that Muslims and Jews hate each other? Please dont tell me its due to terrorist activity because that is bullshit. Its been going on for a very long time. I believe, if memory serves it began with Abraham. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I know a small community of Muslims, being related by marriage to some. I have seen only ONE (1) I would consider an extremist. I hardly call that a "VAST MAJORITY" as you put it. Do they believe in their religion as passionately as most people believe Gays should not be allowed to marry? YOU BET YOUR MOTHERS SWEET ASS!!!! Is that wrong? I can't say it is. How do you tell a Mulsim he or she is wrong for not believing in Christ, yet it is ok for Jews? I cant.

Could you give use some facts please?.

Let's see, there are ~1.3 billion muslims in the world, and most of them are "what we would consider VERY EXTREME", this means that at least 700-900 millions are VERY EXTREME, don't you think that if you had 800 million people ready to blow themseleves up and hate everyone around them, the whole world would be dead by now?, if each one of those 800 millions killed only one non-Muslim, an entire continent would be wiped out by now.

I went ahead and read some parts of the website, and it's obvious that whoever created it either knows too little, or wants to see things the way he wants to see them. Choose anything in that website and i will be more than glad to answer it.
BTW, if you search the web you will find that there are so many websites talking about Jews and their obsession about world control, and their plans to destroy all non-Jews, do i go ahead and put the link here and tell you "The VAST majority of Jews in the world ARE what we would consider VERY EXTREME"?, no, because anyone could put up a website and say whatever he wants to say. If you really want to know more about Islam and its views, go and learn from Muslim scholars, not from non-Muslims who hate Islam.

We do believe in the Christ, we do believe he's the Messiah, and we do believe that he'll come and save the human race against the Anti-Christ, and lead the the good in the Armageddon, we just don't believe that he's been crucified (we believe that he's still alive in the heavens), and we don't believe that he's the son of God.

We also belive in Moses, we believe that he's a prophet and a messanger from God, we are "REQUIRED" to love him, and if someone doesn't believe him (or Jesus or any other prophet for that matter) he will go to hell no matter how good of a Muslim he is.

I have verses from Qur'an to prove what i just said.

Now do the Jews believe in Mohammad/Jesus?, i leave that to SuperJew to answer.

I do understand (and appreciate) all you Qs.

We do believe in him, as a prophet. We believe that when he comes back he'll tell Christians that he was never the son of God, and the true ones will believe him once again and follow him with the Muslims.

When he rules the world, it's like us ruling it, any prophet from God is a prophet for Muslims, and when he leads/rules we're ordered to obey.

Prophet Mohammad asked us to convey his greetings when Jesus comes back "convey my greetings to my brother Jesus when he decends" or as he said.

OT - I appreciate you taking time to help me understand.

I remember my BiL saying something to the effect that Jesus is deamed a prophet, so I know Muslims believe in him.

I would still like to know what the big issue between Muslims and Jews is. Why do the two hate each other so? Is it over Holy Ground? Religious beliefs?

SuperJew? Any thoughts on this?

We don't hate them, and i believe we can't generalize and say they all hate us. Because of my job, i met many Israelis who happen to be Jews, and we're great friends.

Having said that, i have to admit that i have met so many Jews who hated my guts for no apparent reason, the moment they knew i was a Muslim they hated me. Some of them prejudged me and when they knew me more they accepted me as a friend, but i have to admit that many of them didn't accept me till this day.

OT - That reminds me of some Black people. I am white and because of it, I am 'whitey'. I am not a predjudice person, at least not for skin color or religious beliefs. Behavior is the thing that makes me not like people.

I wish SuperJew would give some input on the matter.
