Job Options after aas conviction

What would someone who has been convicted of distibuting testosterone be limited to jobwise? I am thinking the choices would be very limited. Any way to get said conviction taken off? If it was a federal charge that is.

What charge were you actually convicted of and how does the disposition read on your criminal record? Class of Charge?

I take it, it was a felony...so a lot of jobs are out of the questions...such as government jobs or jobs that require background checks...now private companies are workable...aas is not as fround upon as street drugs......felonies usally wont get expunged unless that was part of a plea bargain in the begining. One of the best things for you right now is dont get into any trouble and even if you work at mcdonalds, be the best employee you can be...also time heals...

yeah, you got it. I assumed no govt work or anything related to money(banking) or schools. Just didn't know my options beyond that. Was told by my atty that it will never come off my record unless I can get a pardon from Bush. I've left messages but no response as of yet.

Just do not mention your conviction on your cv. I have worked in recruitment and in all honesty Iv never seen a true cv. Only mention what happened if asked.

Many private or smaller companies wont do any sort of police test

What is a cv? EVERYWHERE i have been does background checks. Public or private. Large or small. I am trying to head it off at the pass and explain when I get to a face to face what happened as briefly as possible. They seem to appreciate but we will see if those jobs pan out or not.

well i am a construction iron worker and a percentage of us are, .... well not your average type of guys you meet at the gym!...lol i know alot of guys with records that are doing fine with this career its not for everyone for sure

Pinkyx is right. Not a lot of small or large corporations do state and federal background checks unless your applying for a salary position. I know the corp. I manage for doesn't. I'd just leave it off your app. Not very likely that they'll find out.

I definitely assume that any job will be hard to get if anyone was convicted of distributing AAS. Especially if it comes up instead of conviction of Distributing AAS it shows "Distribution of Controlled Substance".

You do have options though. I would definitely suggest you join social networking sites such as "Linked In and Ryze". These are social sites more geared towards jobs, employment and such social networking. It may be a while before you will find a job but after a while I am sure you will learn to navigate and who to socialize with to better your chances of finding not only employment but the right employment for you.

This way you can be honest up front and hopefully socialize over time and find many people willing to give you a chance.
