So, we all get personal here when it comes to the gear and diets and training... But one thing I've failed to see is a thread for playlist recommendations, when everything outside of your focus begins to fade and for that last minute you rely on spirit to pump you up because you're living for that last set, feeling the guitars and bass surging through your brains because your body is a power grid running on pain and glory for just one..more..rep..

This is what dreams are made of
This is what warriors are made for
Let us share those harmonious motivations below
I warm up with rap like DMX 'x gon give it to ya' 'whats my name' 'make a move' 'don't you ever' and of course 'party up' ..DMX gives me that edge. Then I'll play some Jay Z like 'big pimpin'
Rap gives you confidence, it might be a false sense of confidence if you only have it when the headphones are in but confidence nonetheless.
Then I slowly blend into nu-metal with bands like limp bizkit 'break stuff'
Korn 'falling away from me'
Then I get into more solid metal like drowning pool 'bodies' slipknot 'duality' Pantera 'walk' Soundgarden 'rusty cage' Alice in chains 'them bones' 'rain when I die' (actually my favorite band so anything really).. I don't think I have to mention Metallica here.
Then later on, working on my last set, when I think about the people who would hate to see me shine, hate to see me in the gym going harder than them.. and some of those people actually are there... i play something that is a personal reminder that it's not about who will join me but more about
WHO'S GONNA STOP ME
I play 'many men' by 50 cent
