Alright im trying to figure this guy out. In no way to I think him or Edwards are bad guys, but i personally dont trust John Kerry to lead our country in the times we are in. Even though he was an activist and was braiding Hanoi Jane's pubes, he did see combat in Vietnam and I respect that. i will admit that his Military Service record exceeds that of our current Commander in Chief, but I cant bring myself to actually trust the man. He flip flops too damn much! He voted for the war in Iraq, but voted agains the funding.....why? Only reason I can think of is because he wanted to make the administration look bad. He also says he plans on building a strong military and DOUBLING the budget of Intelligence Agencies.....but as a Senator, he repeatedly voted against Intel Agency funding...in fact he repeatedly voted to drastically cut funding. He just seems very phony to me. He panders to every single group he talks to. I laughed my ass off when he made that speech about how he took so much pride as a young boy when he got to drive the John Deere through the fields and plow and how proud he felt looking back on the work he did and how tired and dirty he got.....WTF?! He is a fucking billionare from New England. I think Bush did the right thing by refusing to speak to the NAACP, but Kerry actually told that group of people that there was "no other place he would rather be than there rallying that group". HAHA hes so full of shit. No, Bush is not a very good public speaker, but you know what....I havent seen him change his mind or opinions like Kerry does. I think Kerry is too weak minded to be the leader of the free world. I think people just dont like Bush because he is a cocky Texan in the oil business. I have asked alot of people to give me reasons why they would vote for Kerry and the only reason they could give is a dislike for Bush, not an specific attribute of Kerry's they admired. What are your thoughts?

Kerry is just plain selfish......I cannot bring myself to vote for a guy that does not show up for 2/3 of the voting issues in the senate....thats a man that does not care about our country.That is just piss fucking poor!!!!
 
Kerry in 2004.

Kerry will be president in 2004 whether you vote for him or not. Bush is counting on the Evangelical vote, and thats all hes going to get. The moderates seem to be leaning toward him, the dems have made him king, and even some of the right has came to his side. I think barring some other election day hijinks by the Bush administration, Kerry cant lose. If Bush drops Cheney ( satan ) from the ticket and adds Sen. McCain, i think the outcome is differnet. This is all IMO.
 
i dont see it this way. i think that many in the American public are starting to realize that Kerry is too undecisive. And if Kerry and Edwards continue to associate themselves with people like that stupid bitch Goldberg, they will end up hurting their chances of election. It will be a close race no matter what, but i still think the Bush/Cheney ticket is going to come out on top. Bottom line.....Kerry and Edwards seem too phony, too liberal, and too pussified. Bush/Cheney 04!!! I really dont want Kerry as my boss......with all the flip-flopping he does now, God knows what he would do once the pressure is actually put on him.
 
I would rahter work for someone that would really think about sending me to war for a just cause, than man who quickly decided to to send me to die for an unjust ( like weapons of WMD that never existed ) cause. thats just me though. I agree it'll be tight race.

Yeah its going to be close and to be perfectly honest both candidates are not exactly great...but I like to make my own decisions...i.e I'm not going to ask the UN or the French whether I can or cannot defend my country or go for a shit...dont get me wrong I am not making Bush GOD...I despise the patriot act...but the Dems are just plain socialist who are going take away even more liberties...I hate the way in which they convince people to vote money from my own pocket into someone elses who made the wrong decisions and is now paying for it...not my fault.
Plus at least the Republicans use some facts sometimes...the Dems never ever let the facts get in the way.
I predict 52% to 48% in favor of Bush.

see you proved my point...you explained how you dont like Bush. you didnt say you like Kerry because you like his proposed healthcare plan, for example. thats cool though, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

It still kills me that people are using the "no WMD" as their last line of defense. it was a proven fucking fact that Iraq had them. Where did they all go?! He didnt destroy them. He used only some on his own people......hmmmmm if i had to bet on it id say they are burried or in Syria. Good God people....Saddam is not a good guy, i dont care how utopian Michael Moore made Bagdhad look before we "destroyed it". He had those weapons, Bush got the intelligence from the best sources he could after the agencies were gutted by....yep, you guessed it. Bill Clinton and his admin. So please find something new to arague about. Its over with, we are there, we have to finish it, we are doing the right thing. It was proven that Bush did not lie to us. His administration did not lie to us. Of course people who dont like him will say he did, but he passed on to us the intel he received.

I would rather work for a man who can stand behind a decision and not change his mind depending on who he is talking to. John Kerry is flat out a big pussy.

im thinkin Bush is gonna win. that 5r2% to 48% seems like a pretty reasonable guess.

i agree....kerry is too liberal.hes going to lose every state in the south,just because people here value bush's religion standings.we hate the idea of gay marrage,and tax increases.but the sad thing is that he only has to win a few states to lock it up....ny,cali and florida.you know the pinkies in cali will cause a landslide there and ny always votes liberal,florida is a toss up,but if bush wins it,it'll be a miracle from what happened last election.it'll be a close one.

i also hear alot about the Patriot Act and how people despise it.....let me ask this question to everyone. Has the Patriot Act had a negative effect on anyones life thus far? I dont see the big deal with the Patriot Act anyway. All it does is give the power to a single judge to acquire sensitive info as opposed to having to send the request through a group of officials. The government has ALWAYS been able to do this, the Patriot Act has just trimmed the fat off of the process and made it more efficient. If the government feels the need to pull library records to see if I have been checking out books on how to build bombs, then oh well. I understand how people can say it is intrusive and infringing on our civil rights, but I garaun-fucking-tee you all that if a dem was in office and proposed the Patriot Act, there would be alot LESS people bitching about it. granted there are always those who are smack dab in the center and I respect that.
 
WHat bothers me is that the Dems are not interested in extending the voting hours or maybe changing the day from a tuesday to a sunday...reason being productive citizens work during the week thus making it harder for them to reach the polls..but all of the freeloading bums and such who all happen to vote Democrat have the time to show up in there droves....The Dems would'nt want to give the working man a better chance of voting.I can't remember what bullshit excuse they used for that one.

Cirikli -the US constitution says the Election will be held on the 1st tuesday of the november following the 1st monday of the November. that is the reason nobody wants to change the election date. If the God squad cant get a amendment passed to define marriage between a man and a woman into the Consti. , do you really think they are going to allow the document to be changed to allow that ? No fucking way .

Airborne - Right now to me Kerry is the less of two evils. I know i dont like things under Bush, I am holding out hope for Kerry though.

I'm not bitching about our country,I just want it to be how it was originally intended to be.
If you dont think that the government that now has the power to SNOOP on ANYBODY is not going to "have fun" with it then you really need to open your eyes.ITS A WAY TO COLLECT INFORMATION.
If you think there only going to use it on suspected terrorists,please wake up and eat your cornflakes.
The thing I hate about the patriot act is..firstly I'm not content with the argument "if your aren't doing anything wrong whats your problem ?" Thats crap...your neighbour can piss you off simply by calling the Feds up and saying they suspect you of something....people...they dont need proof anymore,they just do it.
I know for a fact that the go through peoples banking and credit card records for fun...just for shits and giggles etc...Do you want the feds to know how much money you have,where you go shopping,what tampons you buy your wife ??? They can force your doctor to hand over your medical records...hippa=nothing!!!!
You think they need a warrant to search your mail anymore ???? NO!!!
With the patriot act...they can enter your home without your knowledge and plant a bug....you can be under surveillence for 3 months before they have to bother to go and ask a Judge for a warrant or even tell you...They do not need probable cause anymore which is a much lower standard than the 4th ammendent.
What if you get busted....attorney client priviledge does not exist anymore...they dont need a court order to listen to your conversations......basically legal entrapment.
I am going to vote Bush but you need to understand...shit happens and one day your going to wish you still had some of those rights which you dont mind giving up in the name of patriotism....what about FREEDOM.This has nothing to do with being a Democrat or a Republican.
Just the fact that the potential for ABUSE is there is more than enough to convince me its wrong.

I think that it is a very important part that should be changed...as it really is our ONLY right anymore.
