Real quick- ive been meaning to try this concoction bowl for some time but cream of rice is impossible to find in my area. Luckily, amazon came through:D
Anyway, got it all together, ate it roughly 45 PWO...long story short, tastes good and more importantly had a pretty decent workout. Could be the fact i didnt have to work this weekend but I recommend trying it if you havent already..

Lol everyone in this neck of the woods is a big meadows fan.

1/4 cup cream of rice
1 scoop whey
1tbsp pb

Is basically the majority of people's pre workout. Well all the groceries around here stock it

For the PB I use PBfit2...powdered pb that mixes great into shakes.

This is an excellent PWO meal... Absolutely a noticeable difference in pump and performance when I have this.

Lately, I have either this or coconut water before lifting.
I was thinking about this at lunch..because the deli i went to had coconut water. Which brand do you use personally? In looking at the benefits from it briefly, read about the electrolyte benefits. Do you alternate between these two for any particular reason? Meaning, days when workout intensity is higher, etc?

Nature's Nectar Coconut Water. They sell it at Aldi. It's one of the better brands... You have to watch they don't have a bunch of shit added.

I usually alternate based on my appetite... If I'm not super hungry before the gym, I'll go ahead and drink a carton of coconut water. If I'm hungry, I'll have cream of rice because it's a bit more satisfying for hunger.

I really like watermelon with some salt in the summer before lifting... Great electrolyte source!

Thank you for the response, appreciate that!

Surprised he doesn't use Walden Farm's chocolate syrup. It has zero calories and taste a 1000x's better.

I've looked for Cream of Rice at Walmart and Kroger....no dice. What fucking aisle should it be in? The rice or breakfast?

It's with oatmeal

You might not find it... It's an elusive product. Might be better off to order on Amazon too be honest.

John meadows is so damn underrated in the bodybuilding world. He's one of the few I'll actually follow because he's light years beyond most people in nutrition knowledge!!!

Cream of rice is impossible to find for me unless I order it online. What I do is just use 1/2 cup of dry basmati rice in a nutribullet blender and make into a powder, then add hot water to it after I heat the water in the microwave for 3 minutes. That bowl is a great pre workout meal. John seems like such a down to earth guy and his training intensity is straight fucking brutal!!! I'm a fan

This shit has almost zero nutritional value.
I’ll take one of my PBJ over this shit any day.
Dave’s Crazy Wheat bread -10g protein
Peanut butter- 8g protein
Guava jelly -
2 Tbls Hemp seeds - 12g proteins
Ha, 30 grams of delicious vegan protein!
It’s a nice balance of cals, carbs, protein, fiber, omega 3’s. Oh and it’s a complete protein :)

It's a preworkout meal with 72 grams of carbs from cream of rice, a little fat from the peanut butter, and a scoop of whey isolate with it. How is that no nutritional value? How is this meal such a terrible preworkout meal?

Buddy, the whole point of the meal is to give you sustained energy throughout an intense workout. Not to help maintain a bikini physique before a light pump session. When you think I'm terms of adding in some EASILY digestible carbs to give you plenty of energy for an intense workout without spiking your insulin too much and without upsetting your stomach, it's definitely not too bad.

lol, wtf are you talking about?
Who said anything about a bikini physique?
Cream of rice on its own has zero nutritional value. I was always under the impression that slow digesting complex carbs where better for a long hard workout. Shit I could just add protein powder and cluster dextrin together and get the results from this cream of puke.
Haha, what I suggested is all from real food.
It’s more cals, more protein, less carbs.
No microwave needed and no fucking whey powder.

You're missing the point entirely, but, okay... The point here isn't "nutritional value" in the sense of being packed full of micronutrients etc... The idea is a fast digesting carb that doesn't cause digestive issues, paired with a high quality fat source to slow the digestion.

Not sure why your vegan gainzzzzz are necessary to spread on to every post possible. We get it.

I don’t know what vegan gainzzzx is?
Though I have idea, is it a YouTube thing?
Hey man not trying to pick a fight or spread my vegan gospel. I’m just throwing other options out there that are from real food sources. No need to hate! o_O I personally like my fast digesting carbs intra or post workout.
That when I will occasionally use HBCD.
To each there own. I guess getting you macros from real food not supplementing with whey, and sugar free chocolate syrup isn’t cool anymore.
