Joining a gym tomorrow

I have desided, after trying to convince myself for months now, that i just can't get a good workout at home. I can not come up with a machine or a way to squat heavy enough and i can't fit a powerrack in my room i workout in. Besides,my sister is moving out of her appartment and she can't fit her eliptycal . whatever you call it .. machine in her new one so my wife wants it. I am going to bring it here and set it up in the room i had for training and make it her training room. I've desided, since i don't like working out with people at the gym, that i will be going about 6am before work for about 45min to 1hr ea day. .. maybe 5 days/week. This will give me time after work to help my wife train and also to watch my son so she won't be bothered while training. It will workout just fine and i can't wait to get back to some real squats and deads. i miss them so much. i had to resort to pushups and pullups and bench with 80lb dumbells. Man,did it suck

I went back to a commercial gym about 4 months ago. I just switched last week to a small hole in the wall gym that caters to powerlifters and serious strength types. No chrome, no cardio equip, no pools and spas. Just a bunch of squat areas, and OL area, and lots of free weights. My kinda place, especially at ~$25/mo.

nice price .. i don't plan to use the sauna .. maybe if i wasn't going before work and i didn't have to look at sweaty guys but i don't think i will. .. I would join that kind of gym in a heartbeat because that's all i want .. i basically just want a powerrack so i can squat and dead

Manwhore how far are you from rutherford? :D

17.33 miles in about 25 minutes ... oops,i may have just given up my location ;) ... When i worked in Lyndhurst i used to go to a gym on Stuyvesant Ave but i can't remember the name. That was years ago but i'm suprised i can't remember it ... If you take valley brook to Stuyvesant and make the right the gym is not too far on the left ... Also,my friends girl lived in Rutherford .. well she still lives there but not his girl anymore. I used to go see her because she always said her computer was broke and wanted me to fix it :D

I didn't know your gym has an OL platform, Bob. Start doing some heavy overhead work and drop that shit hard!

i have an oL platform in my ex-diningroom, but my wife yells about the noise.

LOL So you can't put it in the backyard, but the dining room is ok???? You've got a weird wife, dude.

Well,i'm in and sore as hell ... There is a pretty girl about 28yrs old at the desk every morning like my friend said,so at least i have something to keep up my Test while working out .. O wait,i'm on Test Prop Ha Ha ... I am so happy being back in a gym after .. no shit .. just over 4yrs. Now i can get back up to my previous weight of 260lbs at 5%bf and get back in those comps :D

Well, a high ceiling and an area where you can drop weights. No bumper plates, so it would make a hell of a lot of noise.
