Hello Meso..i am here to learn what i can from who i can.. I am on the west coast.. I am 6 ft 200 been in the gym for about a year.. I like my physique..was 240 when i started hittn the weights 6 days a week a year ago...it has been a long process shedding fat and gaining muscle....butt...my problem is... Even though i suppose i look like i can bench 3 plates....butt what i can actually bench is some bullshit....i am ready to make some fukn gains one way or another...so thats my story hello to everyone....!

Stickn with one body part a day usually...lately been tryn chest at the beginning of the week..thinkn that workn shoulders and arms(triceps) before chest day might have something to do with my weak bench..but have seen very little strenght gains on bench...i have been gettin stronger on every other body part...been taking creatine 10 grams day and always eat clean ...

I found them gains youve been looking for but I dont know if Im ready to give them up. One year is a very short time to be training but sounds like youve done great at shedding that baby fat. Sounds like right now youre running a typical bro spilt, not many gains to be had with that.

So lets talk about your diet and changing your training to meet your goals. Lets here what your routine includes, Im talking the workout, sets/reps and time in between sets. Then I want to hear your goals besides bench and finally lets hear about your diet ie macros at least tell me how much protein you take in a day.

Bench is all about form, tell me exactly how youre benching. Hand placement, foot placement, angle of arms and what youre doing with your ass and back.

Thanks for the response/interest Ozzy..my diets been the same for the last few months..i havent been counting macros.. But i feel i have it on point...i do a cup of oatmeal in the morning..go to the gym then protien protien shakes and 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs after.. Go to work at 1 take about 6 eggs .a protien shake .cup of brown rice and chicken breast w broccoli.split that up into 3 meals by the time i get off at 9.. Get home usually go with greek yogurt with a scoop of protein and then another shake...usually have a good size cheat meal on sunday..for as bench form. ..sucks..i feel i get a better workout without a partner slowing me down ..so embarrassing as it is for a guy my size that dosent even push 225 to ask for a spot on the bench..i have been sticking to other exercises on chest day..dumbells and sadly to say cable flyes have been workin the best for me...sounds pathetic ..but thats chest day in my world..every other body part/day is good ...its so bad i look forward to legs more then chest..and thats just wrong
 
Welcome to meso Heavy!! I think Ozzy gonna have some good training advice for you, so I'll just say train hard and smart and you'll get them gains!!!!!

Your diet is pretty decent, sounds like youre getting adequate carbs and protein so I think your bench issue is all about training. Youre not even doing it because youre embarrassed, dont be. Im almost exactly your size, 6ft 195lbs and see dudes bigger than me benching two 25's on each side all the time. I used to only do 135 for years because I didnt want to look like a fool either. But guess what, I worked on my form and within a few months I went from 135 to 225, all from form.

Also, you didnt mention you goals. Go to the training thread and theres all kinds of routines to follow from powerlifting to bodybuilding. Watch some youtube vids about bench form.
