can you be more specific? do you have left ventricular hypertrophy?
here's my opinion in laymans terms:
if you do have ventricular hypertrophy, this means your heart has been having a hard time pumping blood to the rest of your body. So naturally, like skeletal muscle, your heart adapts and grows to manage the increased workload.
a number of things could cause this. High blood pressure, arthrosclerosis, high cholesterol, lack of aerobic activity, genetics, etc could contribute to this condition.
I do not agree with the advice that you should eliminate all workout activity from your life. think about it. you stop exercising, you lose all the benefits of activity, you turn into a couch potato. your cholesterol levels skyrocket, your blood pressure increases (ok ok slight exaggeration here but you get the picture lol)
my suggestion is to get your HDL/LDL, total and ratio done, (remember you can have high TOTAL cholesterol but if your ratio was good then you'd still be fine) find out what exactly about your heart thats grown bigger, check and constantly monitor your blood pressure, and do light cardio to get your heart pumping between 50-60% of your max heart rate for at least 20mins ED/EOD. (you can slowly increase this workload when you feel like you're ready for it.)
dont fart around with your heart. change your nutrition too, to include vitamin C, E, shitloads of omega-3 fatty acids, and (yes I hate to say it) GREEN VEGGIES.
this is just my opinion and is not in any way a substitute for any advice by a physician. USE YOUR BRAINS though. What makes more sense? google.com is your friend. read about your problem, use your head and do what makes the most sense, even if it means eating lots of veggies.
take care bro,
