Kai Green not competing in 2015 Olympia

I believe @Millard Baker and Marc Lobliner's video hit right on the head. Granted, there are still a lot of pieces missing here, but I do believe Kai's "team" was holding out for a better deal, threatening not to sign for the Olympia and Weider/AMI didn't budge. Business tactics gone wrong perhaps?

I found this article on MD very interesting. Quoting from the article: "As we understand it, Kai has been told that if he shows up at the athletes meeting scheduled for 6.00pm on Wednesday, September 16, he will be allowed to compete. If he doesn’t meet that deadline, then he’s out."

Is this all a huge publicity stunt in the midst of launching his new company? Will Kai ever step on stage again? Interested to find out what happens.

He didn't forget to sign the contract. He was apparently was holding out for a better deal expecting IFBB/AMI to give in to his demands. They didn't.
Like he was going to strong arm the IFBB/AMI, [emoji23]. Kai do u know how many others want to complete, gtfo and take ur supps elsewhere. Partners of Kai made a huge mistake and Kai trusted their decision, or thought he had that much pull[emoji23]

Seems like to much of a risky move to hold out for a booth with all the work a few weeks from the O for Kai. I think there has to be more to it then this. It just seem to much of a idiotic bone head move that I can't believe anybody in his position would be that stupid. Kai's first priority is the title.

And why wouldn't it be? It would be a win-win for IFBB/AMI and Kai. Don't forget AMI was best known as the owner of the "National Enquirer" and several other tabloid magazines before they acquied Weider Pubs, so they know how to sensationalize/market drama/gossip better than anyone.

It definitely seems to be working. The entire industry is buzzing about this more than the show itself.

I will believe that if he ends up competing. Then it'll be a little PR for his company and some for the Olympia. If not, it is self-sabotage. He played hardball with AMI and lost. I doubt his company will benefit more from an Olympia no-show controversy. This will hurt him far more because IFBB/AMI still holds all the cards.
i agree

i feel like kais crying was too legit to be a pr stunt. If this was all part of some big plan he should probably get an agent in hollywood

Those tears may have been genuine and it still may be a PR stunt, I don't think he has any role in it. It would be AMI pulling the strings. Greene may not know the outcome any more than we do at this point.
