Two months ago i went to the doctor not feeling well. I was running 500 mg test c. Per week. They ran bloods and discovered my creatinine at a 1.7. I figured id cut down to trt dose of 200 mg a week. Last week i noticed swelling in my ankles. Went back to the doctor and i have protein as well as blood in my urine and my creatinine is still at 1.7. Its making me wonder if its the test at all. My b.p is good and all other blood tests were good. Anyone else go through something similar?

egfr is the same as creatinine, egfr is a worthless number all they do is plug your creatinine Ito a formula. I would get re-tested in a month and see if it comes down. don't lift for 2 days before test, eat less protein, stay hydrated. if its not below 1.6 maybe look into it more. how much do you weigh?

As above with egfr hydration etc. Blood or RBC;s in urine can or cant be serious. Could indicate anything from UTI, Stones, Prostate/blader issues etc. Dont know if elevated Hgb would cause blood in urine or not. As above, recheck in a month and if still positive might want to dig a little deeper or at least question your MD thoroughly the source of the blood and or elevated creatinine.

275 lbs.

I would definitely consider your filtration rate at 45 to be something of concern. My understanding of egfr is that it is the equivalent to a percentage of 100. So if your egfr is let’s say at 50 then your kidneys are considered to be working at 50%. I may be wrong but I definitely do remember reading that in a medical article once. I will see if I can dig it up.
