Knee noise

First thing in the morning I do some stretches and air squats and have started noticing a scraping/crackling noise coming from my knees. Is there a supplement that helps with joint lubrication? I’ve had the cracking and popping for years but this is new and doesn’t sound great, plus I can’t do my single leg squats without pain when I hear it.

my knees grind and sound like "bone on bone" when i do any kind of knee movement, i just started hyalyronic acid pills from Amazon, at 300 mg daily , to early to tell , but between knees and lower back and my "older age" lol ,unfortunately im very limited on leg excercises that don't inflict substantial pain , so give a look at that supplement,,,,,

Hyalyronic acid was on my list so glad you responded, would love to hear if it has helped people.

yes i take 600 mg every night, i was taking 900 mg , but since lowering to 600 i feel no difference,

I stick with 600mg myself after seeing not much if a difference going higher, but I notice if I go lower. You got curcumin going in there? They work synergistically as I recall from the research (been awhile since I built my supp stack).

no but i will include as i've just been dragging my feet on purchasing , i di like the benefits it provides from , i take ALOT of supplements lol handfuls at times,,,

Had to take a few weeks off from legs. Meniscus tear feels 99% better now. Will just have to avoid heavy squats and leg presses moving forward. Bummer.

Going heavy vs being able to get off the toilet. Was a hard choice TBH.
giving up squats( my favorite excercise) was the hardest lesson i had to learn, after years of painful squats and grinding knees i unfortunately had no chioce and have noticed a certain degree of improvement, but i tried everything when it came to "trying" to continue doing squats, it is definitely a "mind fuck" watching people doing squats while i "grind out" on the leg extensions lol,,,, as i age into my 50's i am learning what works and doesn't cause pain,,,

This has all started in the last couple of weeks which is odd. I do have pain if doing a single leg squat but a normal squat is mainly just the grinding. That being said, once I am warmed up for the day I can do them without noise it is just that first thing in the morning which is why I thought a supplement might help.

I’ve torn my meniscus before and it is nothing like that.

My left knee has popped for decades. It has never caused me issues and MRIs, x-rays, etc turn up nothing. Sometimes it feels tight and popping it releases that tension.
