knot in injection site

as soon as i got finished injecting into my glute a hard knot about the size of a penny formed right under my skin. i would guess that i got some of the oil subq, but not sure. is this anything to worry about? getdiesel

May have punctured a vein, either way it'll go away.... i've had them drain blood on me pretty good before even in the glutes.

Just make sure your pins are new and sterile helps even to swab injection spot with alcohol first and after your done take every precaution possible but don't be paranoid stranger things will happen!

The oil didnt get all the way into the muscle I have had it happen before. If you put a heating pad on the area and message it for awhile the knot should go away. Nothing to worry about you might get some bruising and be a little sore!

I`ve had the same thing happen a few times. The only drawback is that you will usually feel some pain for a few days afterwards. I wouldn`t worry about it much though.

If you pulled the pin out too slow and some of the skin got pulled up there would be a knot. I wouldn't worry..if not my answer then any of the answers the other guys said is correct.

As everyone else has pretty much said, the same thing has happened to me several times. Your site will probably be sore for a bit but nothing to worry about.

I was injecting Fina into my glute yesterday and as soon as I pulled the pin out, I started coughing like crazy, I couldnt stop coughing for a couple of minutes. I thought I was going to die. My buddy told me that I probably knicked a vein. Shit was I scared, I though I was dying.
