Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong received a lifetime ban from Olympic sports early Friday and was stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles after deciding to abandon his long fight against charges he led a sophisticated doping conspiracy throughout his career.

What a joke, he will always be considered the greatest cyclist, or at least the greatest American cyclist of all time. I seriously doubt that all the guys who finished second now feel like champions.

the burden of proof rests on the prosecution not the defendant, and not over and over. considering any lack of actual phyical evidence of doping, i wonder what happened. maybe because it was his word against more than 10 eyewitnesses. including some of his closest teamates it says . i havent followed the story.
a new tool for anti-doping i guess. drug testing still a failure.
