Legalize Steroids Petition

1) Barack Obama thinks the federal government is spending way too much time on anabolic steroids.

The logical solution would be to remove anabolic steroids from the controlled substances list freeing up government resources for the more serious concerns faced by our nation.

“We’ve got nuclear weapons and a financial meltdown to worry about. We shouldn’t be worrying about steroids as much as I think sometimes we do.”

(2) Barack Obama selected Rahm Emanuel as his White House Chief of Staff.

Rahm Emanuel is the brother of Ari Emanuel. Ari Emanuel is the founder of the Endeavor Agency in Beverly Hills, California. Ari Emanuel’s agency is one of the most powerful of the “big five” entertainment agencies in Hollywood.

Most importantly is the fact that Ari Emanuel is the superagent that represents director Christopher Bell. Chis Bell directed the steroid documentary “Bigger Stronger Faster*” which advocates a rational re-evaluation of anabolic steroids and arguably supports the case for steroid law reform.

Perhaps this will lead to a private White House screening of “Bigger Stronger Faster*”?

(3) Barack Obama has implied that his new Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel actually uses anabolic steroids.

Barack Obama was joking when he made the steroid suggestion at a 2005 Roast of Rahm Emanuel who was then a Democratic Congressman from Illinois. Obama further joked that Emanuel possesses many of the stereotypical characteristics of an anabolic steroid user.

Rahm is a little intense, he is strong, he is aggressive, he is emotional, he is moody and the Republicans have finally figured out one way to control him: they are going to start steroid testing members.

Furthermore, Rahm Emanuel is nicknamed “Rahmbo” after the Rambo character played by Sylvester Stallone who is an outspoken advocate of anabolic steroid use and proponent of human growth hormone use. “Rahmbo” is also an ultra-competitive athlete who competes in triathlons and marathons.

(4) Finally, screenwriter and alleged steroid user Tyler Perry is producing a biographical movie adaptation of Barack Obama’s life.

Tyler Perry allegedly obtained steroids from chiropractor Michael Diamond at the upscale Manhattan Gym called Clay; Dr. Diamond is said to have received steroids on behalf of celebrities that were prescribed by Gary Brandwein and shipped by Signature Pharmacy. After his name was publicly leaked in the Signature Pharmacy steroid scandal, Perry had dinner with Barack and Michelle Obama and subsequently decided to write a love story about the future President and First Lady.

I’m not sure how, but the possibility that a steroid-fueled Tyler Perry is making a movie about Barack Obama bodes wells for steroid legalization.

I was just watching him in the debate with Hillary and meeting him and Michelle and having dinner with them. They just inspired this amazing story. It’s a love story with a little political twist but it’s mostly about…it’s called “For the Love of You” and it’s about his love for his woman. It’s going to be amazing.

So, President-Elect Barack Obama thinks the government spends too much time on steroids, selects top adviser whose brother represents a film about steroid use, implies his top adviser uses anabolic steroids, and has dinner with a purported steroid user who is making a movie about Obama.

What does this mean for the future of anabolic steroid law reform? Well, most likely absolutely nothing. But it was fun to examine the interconnectedness between Obama and the steroid issue!

I would like for us to write a petition to the white house with good and scientific reason whey the class should be lowered. alot of you guy are very smart and know your stuff like the back of your hand. once it's all put together I sign up for it on petitions.whitehouse.gov and then i will send the link to get signed. with all the diffrent boards based around this we should get more than enough to sign.
what do yall think?

HD as I mentioned I don't agree, but at the same time, if that is your game, I am not judgmental either. Just give us all warning. Something like the sign used for handicapped parking, may work, or the tape used to protect crime scenes. It could say something like orgy in progress, do not enter.

All though it might not end up being Legal. I do think it being Schedule III controlled substances.
Could be lowered class at least! For PED's to be but in the same class as Narcotics is
ridiculous!

LOL Millard I see that. That was On another link. Looks like some on try to rip it from you.
Yeah, I know. I just wish IF people copy MESO articles, they provide attribution of the original source/author as a common courtesy / net etiquette.

It's frustrating to see articles copied without attribution because it confuses Google. For example, if you search Google for the above article "Indicators That Barack Obama Will Legalize Anabolic Steroids", THINKSTEROIDS.COM is nowhere to be found :(

Yes, this is the best I think we could hope for - a repeal of the Anabolic Steroids Control Act and the removal of steroids from the Controlled Substances list.

It still wouldn't make steroids legal for bodybuilding and/or performance-enhancing purposes. But the lifting of the draconian penalties would make a world of difference.

Definition of Controlled Substance Schedules

Drugs and other substances that are considered controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) are divided into five schedules. An updated and complete list of the schedules is published annually in Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) §§ 1308.11 through 1308.15. Substances are placed in their respective schedules based on whether they have a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, their relative abuse potential, and likelihood of causing dependence when abused. Some examples of the drugs in each schedule are listed below.

Schedule I Controlled Substances
Substances in this schedule have no currently accepted medical use in the United States, a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, and a high potential for abuse.

Some examples of substances listed in Schedule I are: heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), peyote, methaqualone, and 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine ("Ecstasy").

Schedule II/IIN Controlled Substances (2/2N)
Substances in this schedule have a high potential for abuse which may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.

Examples of Schedule II narcotics include: hydromorphone (Dilaudid®), methadone (Dolophine®), meperidine (Demerol®), oxycodone (OxyContin®, Percocet®), and fentanyl (Sublimaze®, Duragesic®). Other Schedule II narcotics include: morphine, opium, and codeine.

Examples of Schedule IIN stimulants include: amphetamine (Dexedrine®, Adderall®), methamphetamine (Desoxyn®), and methylphenidate (Ritalin®).

Other Schedule II substances include: amobarbital, glutethimide, and pentobarbital.

Schedule III/IIIN Controlled Substances (3/3N)
Substances in this schedule have a potential for abuse less than substances in Schedules I or II and abuse may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.

Examples of Schedule III narcotics include: combination products containing less than 15 milligrams of hydrocodone per dosage unit (Vicodin®), products containing not more than 90 milligrams of codeine per dosage unit (Tylenol with Codeine®), and buprenorphine (Suboxone®).

Examples of Schedule IIIN non-narcotics include: benzphetamine (Didrex®), phendimetrazine, ketamine, and anabolic steroids such as Depo®-Testosterone.

Schedule IV Controlled Substances
Substances in this schedule have a low potential for abuse relative to substances in Schedule III.

Examples of Schedule IV substances include: alprazolam (Xanax®), carisoprodol (Soma®), clonazepam (Klonopin®), clorazepate (Tranxene®), diazepam (Valium®), lorazepam (Ativan®), midazolam (Versed®), temazepam (Restoril®), and triazolam (Halcion®).

:)Schedule V Controlled Substances
Substances in this schedule have a low potential for abuse relative to substances listed in Schedule IV and consist primarily of preparations containing limited quantities of certain narcotics.

Examples of Schedule V substances include: cough preparations containing not more than 200 milligrams of codeine per 100 milliliters or per 100 grams (Robitussin AC®, Phenergan with Codeine®), and ezogabine.

Maybe placing an "all rights reserved. No part of this website or any of its contents may be reproduced without attribution" warning at the bottom of articles would help.

I've seen people use a quote to support an argument many times and they rarely include a link or attribution. It drives me nuts. Most of the time it's (the quote) just someone's opinion but it's surprising how many people will accept it as authoritative.

Currently, MESO has an "all rights reserved" notice but we've considered licensing some rights. For example, using Creative Commons - http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ .

Millard there are some sights that will not let you copy by high lighting. Im not sure how they do that, But nobody should plagiarize. Credit should be given where its due. I always try my best to give name or author or link of where info came from.
