Legalize steroids?

Do you think they will ever legalize steroids? Why do they consider it a banned substance? Just curious if it will ever be legal or if anyone is trying to make it legal.

When has anything been outlawed then made legal again later (besides alcohol)?
Tobacco, in nazi germany. Also weed in holland. They have legalised heroine for hopeless addicts here as well, but that's very rare and under strict doctor supervision. I do wonder where they buy it.

To answer your questions,
Do you think they will ever legalize steroids?
No, not in the US. Because that country isn't exactly 'free', sorry to say.

Why do they consider it a banned substance?
No real reason. Money, since paying but dumb sports fans only like sports when their heros are 'natural'. See who gets tested all the time, not regular people or vulnerable children, but recordbreaking athletes. You figure it out. Nothing that should bother the individual but it does, because of the made-up problems of addiction and health issues.

or if anyone is trying to make it legal.
Yes. But they will fail. It is more profitable to have 'clean' sports and that's it. Other countries where people are more informed, and where here is no such thing as multi million $ sports, have legal steroids, either with or without an easily obtainable doctor script.

Only for prescription purposes. Steroids weren't created for people to take massive dosages inorder to GET HUGE. The same way that meth wasn't created by the Japanese for fighter pilots to use recreationally. Both are since illegal last time I checked.

don't think it'll ever happen....those pencil-neck idiots in Congress are so worried about what they consider "fair" in sports and are so clueless it's not funny. Hell the prejudice against them in this country is holding back research into areas where they could be of great help such as concussions, aging, severe burns, ED and male birth control.
I will be paying close attention to the NFL's study of concussions-----it could open a small window

Hell No. the last thing the powers that are running this country (USA) want is a bunch of supermen running around showing people whats possible to do with their bidies. Next thing youd know people would be trying to improve their minds and might even start thinking on their own. [}:)] Now that just wouldnt do.

One chance of making steroids more accessible, if not fully legal, is their use in the fight against AIDS. Already you can get a prescription for Var (to battle weight loss). AIDS activists are very influential, so if other steroids can be shown to help we could expect a lot more production/availability.

I don't think any injectable will ever become an over the counter product. However, it seems that once the physicians are comfortable prescribing a drug for one purpose they will be a lot more likely to prescribe it for another purpose. Also, the drug companies only have to get the drug approve for one purpose, then the physicians can prescribe it for other purposes. This may sound trivial, but clinical trials cost millions.

I remember this one 'authority' on the NBO special, who spoke out against steroids. Should steroids be used, since there are no studies on long term damage? No, because we must be 'extra cautious'. Should those studies be done then? No, because that would be 'unjustifyable'. Well there we have it then. Ignore the fact that millions of people are using steroids and deserve to know. Ignore the fact that long term studies have been conducted on alcohol, tobacco, sugar, etc. We'll just make up they are bad and won't have it otherwise.

It would be absolutely great for America if controlled substances were legalized. I'm under the contention that it would put a stop to all the drug related deaths in America. Alcohol related deaths are increasing because of drunken teens and young adults behind the wheel. If anything, alcohol should be banned once again. Legalizing drugs would put drug smugglers, dealers, and pushers on to the welfare lines! Ex- dealers would lose almost everything. No money for the fake insurance, no money for gasoline, pawning their "blings". Pushers won't be able to buy gasoline for their "ghetto-mobiles" or for their noisy motorcycles. There will be no more drugs in prisons nor in school yards. Drugs would be administered by the federal government and enforced a newly established law enforcement agency. a Also law enforcement agencies will be reduced to a bare minimum unless some creative fucker comes up with a "new underground drug!" but I would seriously doubt that. I believe that "Rap Music" which is fueled by drug money will come to a halt.
This is only my crazy ass opinion.

Legalization of controlled substances is a good idea. Better, cleaner and cheaper drugs. Governement wouldnt need to administer anything. Just let the pharmaceutical companies do what their doing and make everything OTC. Phillip Morris could start growing the marajuana and maybe annheiser busch could get in on the action too.

USA wastes alot of money on the war on drugs and putting non violent drug offenders in prison. We could spend that money on education instead. Maybe higher drug taxes on some of these medications too.

Prohibition is, almost, always a terrible terrible terrible idea.
