As long as we have a couple of females around here to agitate
let's discuss....
Call me crazy...you're crazy, Grizz!...but I don't think women should be allowed to be police officers or fire people. The main reason I say this is because they are held to lower standards. The testing/admission process is much, much easier for a female than it is for a male.
Don't get me wrong, most men in those professions are also pussies, but, if we have a set of standards that we expect our PD/FD to live up to, then one would assume there is a reason for it. I'm not sure how being able to do 45 situps in 60 seconds will help in the field of law enforcement, but someone seems to think that it is a good gauge of physical preparedness. Why should the female standards be any lower? How come the men have to bench 90% of their BW, but the females only have to do 40%?
Practically speaking, the females can not handle many situations. If I were a violent felon looking at 30 years time, I would count my lucky stars if it was a female officer arresting me....uh, attempting to arrest me. I'm sorry, but a 140lb 25%bf female can do NOTHING against a 180lb 12%bf male. End of story. I was watching COPS and two aging female officers couldn't even handle one drunk and ornery white trash hooker.
How about fire fighters? Quite frankly, I know about 20 people who could carry my big ass down a flight of stairs and not a single one of them is a female. What I'm saying is that I doubt even most of the men could carry my 285lb ass anywhere, let alone a female.
So, in professions where both the person and other people's lives are in danger, how can a sane person allow women to have the jobs?
