Lifelabs estradiol test

Hey guys,

I have a question on the estradiol test from lifelabs. Under the estradiol result there's a note that's says the following:
"Estrogen receptor antagonists and aromatase inhibitors have been shown to interfere with estradiol testing by some immunoassay technologies resulting in falsely elevated estradiol concentrations. For patients taking these medications, please interprete results with caution"

So it basically means that if you are taking an AI that test won't work at all?

Thanks

Yes, because AI’s will cause low E2 levels making the test not accurate and in turn will show falsely elevated levels.

How much higher?
I’m not sure of the testing methods used above most likely ELISA. I seen blood results posted where someone got both LC-MS/MS and ELISA done at the same time. The results were not close. I can’t remember the exact difference but I think it was around 30 pg/ml (8-35)
