Lifts Relative to Weight

Pull out your calculator and estimate your 1RM for bench and squat.

I want to know how many people on here can honestly say they can bench 1.5x BW and squat 2x bodyweight.

For example, if you weigh 200lbs, multiply this by 1.5 and you should bench at least 300lb.

Be honest!

Just found this thread and wanted to weigh in. I'm around 220-225. Bench 405 (1.8x BW) and squat 565 (2.5x BW). Not bad considering I've never touched gear... :)

Show Off ... My bodyweight is 1 1/2X my bench .. what do i get for that?

I just did deadlifts at 365 pounds for 5 sets of 5 reps, at a bodyweight of 140 pounds.

EDIT: Also, Animalmass didn't mention this, but his 300 pound push press was done AFTER a ridiculously strenuous bench press workout which included shirt work and board presses. Anyone who has ever done either will know how much they take out of you.

Based on that fact, me thinks he has more in the tank...won't be long before he's hefting "3 wheels" overhead.

i'm still a junior in size and strength but have learnt alot about techniques and nutrition through this forum.

6-foot, 75kg (165pound)

Bench a pitiful 85kg (187pound) 1.1 xBW
Squat 135kg (270pound) 1.6 xBW
Deadlift 175kg (385pound) 2.2 xBW

While we're bragging/talking about other people, Kevin Majaros on Wannabebig.com benches 315 @ 150lbs Raw and drug free. He's also 17.

My lifts aren't worth mentioning, at least not relative to weight.

Talking about others, there's Andy Fiedler who got the world record with a 3X bench at 269lbs just a bit ago (810 official, 825 unnofficial).

Me, at 205 doing 315 ain't too much to talk about. Squatting, last time I tried that I blew an O ring and had to have surgery (TMI).

Speaking of surgery, a few years ago Andy tore his pec right off his shoulder. They said he'd never lift again... err... okay.

I am pretty weak, so I'll brag about someone else...

I knew this guy in highschool that wrestled at 103 or 105 or whatever the weight is just above 100# and his 1RM's were something like; bench- 225, squat-just below 300 (I remember he could never get 300) and he deadlifted like 275. Now although he wrestled at 103 or whatever he really weighed around 115 or so, but he is still one of the strongest pound for pound I have ever seen.
