Long story short .. friend and HRT

Knew this for months that friend was going to be going on GH therapy and just talked to him 2 days ago. He has been on .2mg for 2 weeks now and doc says to give 4 weeks until he will up the dose if he doesn't feel better. I thought that was a little low of a dose but he says doc doesn't want sides to show. He is still very tired and doesn't want to do anything. He has also been on short term disability for about 1 month now and went back to work just to see if he would feel better and he couldn't do it at all. He has been a pharm salesman for years now and used to be the top salesman in his company while taking care of 80% manhatten but then moved to florida a few years ago where he was still doing good but now as good because he said the pace is slower and he just could fit in at first. Anyway, does that sound like a dose that someone would get their 1st few weeks or is that a little low? Also, what could that be from .. his low GH level .... his test level was fine.

this sounds about right. For many guys, it takes about .6 mg to get the IGF-1 up to 300-350 where we want to be. Encourage your friend to be patient as the gh takes time to work. Sometimes this can be a few months. Get him to sign in here so he can present his reactions on a systematic basis.

Starting slow is important to avoid unpleasant side effects. Edema and joint pain are the most common. Sometimes fatique, raise in serum glucose, hyperthyroid, acromegly (increase size of nose, hands, feet,...), nervousness due to increase in cortisol.
