New here, coming from sst and yes I understand that sst sucks ass. I'm lost because there are a ton of sources posted here but every source seems to have some dirt on them- Colonial's floater issues, trip actually being Syn and having fake janoshik tests, etc... Makes it hard to pick one. I understand there is no such thing as a perfect lab/source, but could someone point out a few of the top labs/sources that are generally well respected here by members that have been around for a while. Love u all.

No, how about you do your due diligence and research for yourself. How do you know if someone recommends you a bad source and you get burned Taking their word. I understand the sources on sst are much fewer, but look at the top sources here and start at the back reading forward.

Ok i will, but what i'm saying is that they all seem at least a little shitty and I feel like i'm just trying to find the least shitty one of them all. Which does not make me feel confident as this will be my first cycle.

For the most part they all are a little shitty and if you pick one you're absolutely trying to find the least shitty. Sorry there's no golden unicorn source here. I don't use any domestic from here and there's only one I'd even consider. Read the threads see how the source carries himself and if there's issues how they're resolved. Check testing. It takes a little time but it's really not difficult to cut down some of the risk. I will say Fuck @naps sorry ass. There's one off your reading list, good luck

You need to read and re read until you get the warm and fuzzy feeling from a source you are interested in trying. Thats about the best you can do. Are there decent sources here? Absolutely but whats decent to me or others may not be decent to you.

So if you have PMs from sources, PMs from anyone recommending a source..... stay away from those ones... that should narrow it down some.

As has been said already, read the last 10 or so pages of a sources thread. That should give you a general idea if customers are happy or it's a shit show. Now, sometimes shit shows do commence in otherwise decent sources threads, but that is just part of the fun.

Ultimately, you need to use your own best judgement to decide. And just because a source was good yesterday or for the last several years even, doesn't mean that they get a pass either or they will be good tomorrow.

They're only as good as their last batch and if they aren't testing batches and/or raws at this point in time, I wouldn't even consider using them.

Check out the testing sections and obviously, the tests that hold the most weight are going to be those that were performed by customers blindly.

Not at all. There's a lot of people find their sources on various boards. Imo speaking strictly about U.S domestic brewers There's just not many here I'd be interested in for different reasons. To be fair I haven't seen any infection threads lately so that's a plus but there's been a floater recently. Testing and clean gear should top the list.

If you read through and have specific questions about a source or incident you can post it and you'll undoubtedly get legit info on it but that's about as far as most members will go. Good luck.
