I have been keeping my carbs under 70 gram per day since friday, but i was wondering if my slipup yesterday would ruin my road to Ketosis? Friday sat sun my carbs were in the low 50grams though. Yesterday I was around 110 grams and today I am at 52 grams. Plus today I am tired as hell but that didnt happen til this evening but it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was wondering what is best to give me a little boost in the evening? Also I have been getting conflicting info on whether to eat dairy or not.. I have kept my dairly to an oz of cheese per day. But I was wondering what you guys recommend dairy intake wise....Thanks for everything!!

I don't know who advised you on your diet and I dont want to interfer with it and cause any confusion.
But I just want to give you the heads up on the no carb,low carb, high carb. three day split diet that some people use,the point being that some carb variation is possible.The 3 day carb variation works on the principle of total carbs for the week.
But from my experience the best way is to stick to low carb as tight as possible while dieting,as it can be too easy to stray to far with the variable carb diet.
Just keep chipping away,you'll get there,once you see results it becomes easier.
Also if you have been dieting well and do feel lethargic, a pre and post workout carb meal is fine just make sure you workout in view of the carbs being utilized {hard}
Plus take a day off training but stick to your diet.

Ps I would'nt cut dairy products out this early into a diet

For most people you will have to go under 50g of carbs a day to be in Ketosis, I would say 25-35g is best.

Thanks guys I am going to go out today and buy some ketostixs just to be sure. I am getting a little worried though..Last week I was at 125 and some change-- then this morning i got on the scale and was at 120.8 I can lose a few lbs with no prob thru cardio and diet but usually only a lb or 2. Either I was in worse shape than I thought or I am doing something wrong. The last couple of days though my calorie comsumption has been around1500 but I havent been hungry with all the solid protein I am eating. I feel so full most of the day. Anyway any ideas on why I maybe dropping so fast? And if it continues should I still take the clen?

I am the one who told her how I used low carb diet with great success.I would not go below 70 grams of carbs per day and never more than 100. I dropped dairy and sugar and wheat/fluor ,bread products for 30 days..I lost 20 solid very quickly.I felt sick for the first 5 days then body began to use my fat storage for energy.One thing you must do is add extra protien to up the cals you are losing from not eating as much carbs.PS..I thought you wanted to lose some weight ? You probably will not need the clen if you are strict.I am not sure what to tell you about the dairy..I dropped it out because I wanted to see drastic drop in my body fat %.Hang in there..the first week is hell.Too bad you are not on var right now..you would see a miracle happen in just a few weeks !

Thanks Dennis all of your help has been greatly appreciated. I was and still trying to lose fat/water I just wasn't prepared for how quickly it would come off. I was expecting this to happen over a couple of weeks...especailly considering how much I am eating and I haven't done a minute of cardio. I was just worried that I maybe doing something wrong since it is happening so fast..I just dont want to start to lose muscle.

The not wanting to lose any muscle could be a slight problem..that is why a little test in your system could be helpfull at this time.Us guys struggle with dieting down too because we lose some muscle during that process.Just remember to eat as much protien as possible and lift very hard.My weight loss on that diet came steady all month.How many cals do you normally intake (before this low carb diet) ?Maybe dairy could be helpfull for you during this time.Also remember that fats are ok right now to some degree.

I kept my calories pretty much close to what I am eating now (1500-1700) but now it is mostly protein. Tonight I dont feel as tired though so maybe I got over the low carb hump.But I will keep u informed of my progress. I can't wait to see the results once I get some var into my system

Dennis's diet advice is good {not sure about his test vs woman advice}.
and it's working.
Dont go too mad till you get your supplements.

Trust me jasthace, The small amount of test will work wonders for her as long as she does not overdo it.And Mr. Sportsclub will be the happiest/most fatigued guy on the planet.:rolleyes:

Ok don't want to gross anyone here out, but since lo carbing my skin has gotten very "loose" I guess is the word-it is like this also from being prego. I am guessing it is from the loss of water retention too-but I really dont know. anyway I needed to tighten up the skin my abs anyway and I wasn't sure if I sould concentrate more on cardio or crunches and weights. I know I need to do both but I just wasn't sure which is better for the whole "skin" issue. Sorry about how gross that sounds.

I believe that cardio is a great way to work on specific areas,fat loss can be site specific,if you move a particular area a lot, you will lose fat off of that area.i.e abs,glutes.{From personal experience}
Tightening of loose skin,there are a lot of web sites about this subject ,heres one for ya.

Jasthace..thanks for the vote of confidence bro.....I would suppose each woman's threshold would be different.I have never heard of any unpleasant sides (other than body hair growth) from any woman who has used steroids responsibly.

Dennis I'm such a non commited fellow when it comes to low carbing it. . I get headaches and feel depressed and cranky a few days into it and the cravings!! I give in. could you give me a sample menu of a typical day low carb? sportclub said she isn't hungry due to all the protien but when i do it i am hungry constantly. I am not able to lift for now due to some surgery. My goal is to lower my current BF% (16-17%) so when i am able to lift again i wont have this disgusting layer of crap on me. I just run out of ideas of what to eat and get frusterated and give up. if i lost just 10 or 15 lbs i would be lookin much better. I'm 5' 8" 190. Help!!

..

Dennis I think you have enough confidence without me promoting it any more.

So just a mustache you say?
Well thats not so bad,as long as your sister,daughter or mother dont have to wear it around
Please dont encourage the ladies to use androgenic steroids.
Its ok if they say they already use.

"Grandma why do you look like a man" how would you be?

Jast, Points taken.I was not aware that I encouraged ladies to do it.I usually only try to answer their questions with the real life experiences I have had .I will go on record and say that the women I have personally known that used var responsibly have had no problems,only success.I think the key word here is "responsible".

thanks i will check it out. I'm a person that desires immediate gratification, so what kind of results could i expect if i stay committed?

I have been doing it for 8 days now and I have lost 6 pound. I have not done one minute of cardio and lifted 5 days out of the eight. These were even somewhat easy workouts because my energy level was a bit low on a couple of these days. For the first week you are going to feel very run down, no energy, craving from hell, headaches and very moody. Just an overall crappy feeling. But if you can deal with it...the cravings are the worst part...the cravings will be completely gone, you will rarely feel hungry, I at first thought this was from all the protein and fat I was eating but after reading about Ketosis--lack of appetite is actually a side effect of the process. So is dehydration so be prepared to drink tons of water. Which comes with dry mouth and this horrble morning breath taste that stays in your mouth permanently. (It makes me drink even more water) Get some fiber pills constipation is also a side effect of ketosis but also from lack of fiber in the diet. But like I said I have only been doing for a week but everything I have read and been told is that the first week is the absolute worst. Most people can't deal and give in after a couple of days. But trust me u will feel awesome if u can get past the first week. I am so glad I kept with it!!!
