low DHEA-S

I find it interesting how much everyone's response to pregnenolone varies. Some people say they feel great on it and others feel worse on a low dose. I wonder what the mechanism is behind feeling worse on it. I suspect it could be progesterone going too high but I really am not sure.

Yes brother, i can't explain it and i doubt it's from raising e2 that soon. I overdid it with high HCG and despite the considerably low test AND the AI my e2 went up to 106 pg/ml (zero sides though) but it took almost a month to get up there, so 10mg of pregnenolone no way raising e2 in 5 days.

My progesterone being on the low end again i'm estimating it didn't raised that much in 5 days so literally i can't explain it. I was feeling unmotivated and sad. I was in the gym and staring in the ceiling, had no interest and zero aggression to smash things down even with the monster drink before workout haha!

Maybe i can source that MRM if it's for sale in lower concentration and try again.

Well that is a good question and hard to answer because the data on these precursor hormones for men on androgens is limited, so a lot of what we go off of is also anecdotal.

I can speak for myself again as far as pregnenolone is concerned. If I test it, my result is <10 and even if I take it, it doesn't seem to move much, most likely because it's being converted to other hormones since it's the "mother" hormone.

I have seen somewhere that Pregnenolone Sulfate levels are more accurate, however, I haven't found anywhere that tests for Preg Sulfate (if someone knows a lab that tests it, please share).

I can't say whether yours will continue to decline the longer you are suppressed though. I just don't know the answer.
it's understandable if you don't know,
but what I'm trying to figure out is if my low DHEA-S is why my testosterone to DHT ratio is so bad,

about (18 to 22:1) when it should be 3.5 to 14 and that would fix it?

or since it's just a precursor hormone and I'm already talking the most important thing it converts into (testosterone) DHEA-S being low is fine?

Sorry there's a lot going on in this thread so I missed the DHT part. I know that DHEA converts to DHT as well (and so does testosterone of course). I feel like my DHT ran slightly higher when I was on higher DHEA, but it's hard to know without re-testing. Also, I can be on the same dose of testosterone and my levels might still look different from test to test, which could also influence DHT.

It's a shitshow of a puzzle

What’s your shbg ratio? Dhea has no direct impact on dht alone.

no idea off hand

but the last 6 time I check my total testosterone the was
(1,538) (1,108) (2,940) (1,836) (1,410) (1,892) ng/dl

and shbg was
(29.1)‎ ‎ (26.3)‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ (31.7)‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ (28.3) ‎ ‎ (30.7)‎ ‎ (30.2) nmol/L respectively

Some of these brands aren't micronized, like the Life Extension brand for instance, which is normally a good company. I know the MRM Pregnenolone is micronized though, so that one should be good.

Speaking from experience, I did raise my DHEA-S on non micronized DHEA if I tested it right after taking the supplement, but it is much shorter acting.
Is Swansons pregnenolone micronized?

I tested blood levels while taking Micronized and not and both version raised my levels to the top of the ref range or above it
