Low dose Naltrexone. Anyone here doing this?

Too high a dose and it sits there occupying opioid receptors blunting pleasure.

From my research, 3mg at night is often the sweet spot for inducing endorphin rebound. enhancing enjoyment of everything, but no longer binding to opioid receptors by morning.

A restoration of burned out reward circuits.

This in addition to the rensensitization of the natural opioid receptor based pain relief system, mental clarity, and the reduction in inflammation LDN is known for.

8mg is showing signs of reducing cancer risks, but the price of pleasure dulling at that dose is too much imo.

Healing Pharma produces 1.5mg, 3mg, and 4.5mg caps which are dirt cheap compared to US compounding pharmacies. $75 for 500 pharma grade 3mg caps,

$75 wouldn't cover the first month of low dose naltrexone from a longevity doc and compounding pharmacy.

Never in a million years did I think it would have potential health benefits outside of alcohol and opioid dependency treatment.

In general I didn't like the nausea or dulling of pleasure it gave me. Granted, i was also coming off drugs and alcohol so i was experiencing a brick wall of anhedonia to begin with.

My most recent experience was taking it too early after an opioid bender and that sent me into precipitated withdrawals. That was by far the most pain and sickness I have ever felt in my life. Went borderline manic and haven't even thought of it since.

I saw that inadvertent inducing of opioid withdrawal(if using) as one of the (few) potential sides even with the low dose. Have to stop a couple of days before anything that'll require an opioid pain reliever too.

I'm surprised at how widespread use of LDN has become in the last few years for so many conditions, and among the biohacking/longevity crowd.

It is vicious. Doctor said to be clean for a week just to be safe. I took it about 36 hours in and it hit me like a semi truck. One second you're fine - and in the blink of an eye it's like it forces every molecule off the receptors and you go into peak withdrawals.

I'm very impressed with how fast and effective the drug is. I do think this is one of those drugs where they have to be very cautious about the statistics and reports because of the people its prescribed to. if it's being prescribed to people who are already on a journey to seek help and improve their lives, they're probably taking other measures that are also contributing to a lot of these benefits. Super common for people to get out of rehab, take naltrexone, focus on discipline, lose some weight, etc.

Definitely not trying to sound skeptical about the benefits. Sounds really badass actually. I'll be keeping up with this one over the months.

Have you tried the Low Dose Naltrexone? I'm curious what is your favorite source of info about it. I'm thinking about crushing and diluting some 50mg tablets to see what it does for me. (My India packs have been taking 1-3 months to arrive so I'm pretty much only going to order things I know I'll want for the long term)

You experienced this at low dose? Well fuck....

Still on my list to try...lol.

Yep. Took a couple months to recover. Wait, hold up. Did I recover?

Either that or all the nandrolone. Or both?

But in all fairness, who has time to worry about autoimmune issues, joint pain, etc. when their junk stops working? Nevermind, LDN does work. ;)

I'll wait for the 1.5mg and 3mg caps to arrive. It seems precise dosing and slow titration are especially important because the therapeutic window is very narrow.

Finding the ideal dose is key, and challenging.

I have selegeline on the way as well. It seems to provide the another path to reward system renewal (involving dopamine instead of endorphins), anti-anhedonia, mood enhancement, motivation, and lowers pain perception. Seems less troublesome to quickly establish whether it's doing what you want it to than LDN, and involves very low 2x weekly doses, so I may try it first.

What kinda 'Dropper' are you using to measure this... ?

The droppers I see online are 1ml. ---- means 4.5mg equals almost 'NOTHING' on the ml dropper...
