Low estrogen causing tendonitis

So just realized that it's most likely low estrogen causing my chronic tendonitis which has suddenly developed after never being an issue in the almost 30 years I've lifted. Been battling with it for the past year but just put two and two together that it could be the added I've been taking. My estrogen level was 19 last test so in range but on the low end. So anyways I'm gonna cut out the adex for awhile and see what happens.

The issue is even though I'm only on 140mg test, I'll still develop super tender breasts if I don't take it. I'm thinking about going with nolva instead at an ultra low dose like 2.5mg a day and see what happens. Anything seem wrong with that plan? Could nolva be a long term replacement for adex?

Have you tried lowering the dose as opposed to just discontinuing it.

I hate to spew numbers around this issue but I feel better with 2x that estrogen. I'd get surgery if I had gyno because that's easy; tendonitis is something you have to live with every day.

Is surgical removal of the breast tissue out of the question? If for nothing other than so you can enjoy this lifestyle a little more easily.

It's not out of the question but since I only run 140mg of test a week I want to exhaust all other options first. Surgery sucks.

I'm trying nolva at 5mg eod. As long as no gyno develops I'll run that for several months and then reevaluate if the tendinitis has not gotten better

Throw in a little Eq to lower estrogen. Eq should also be supposedly good for ligaments and tendons.

Horrible for hematocrit though right? That's the only reason I don't mess with it, I'm already over 51 crit

Not always I get high numbers as the serum levels go up. Once it's stable numbers are ok especially at low dosage. If u still get high numbers pop one aspirin a day and all is good also plenty of water intake helps. With 140 tes u will only need about 80 mg Eq weekly to act as aromatise inhibitor.

I’ve been doing 210 push ups and 210 pull ups every day for about a year now.

3 months ago I was taking 300mg test E and 2mg anastrozole a week. I was getting horrible pain in my elbows. It felt like they were going to explode when I put any tension through them. E2 was around 120pmol/l (so well within range)

I dropped the anastrozole to 1mg a week, and after about 5 days my joints felt perfect. It felt like every workout was just pure muscle contraction. I didn’t even notice my joints anymore.

12 days ago I dropped the anastrozole and started on 160mg test e and 105 mast e a week. Four days in and the pain was worse than ever. The next day I couldn’t do one rep without feeling like something bad was going to happen. Now my forearm tendons are tight, and I can feel myself getting tendinitis at this rate. Mast has estrogen antagonistic effects, so I’m guessing it’s acting as a pseudo AI

Because I do the exact same workout every day it’s easy to notices changes, and I’m definitely noticing that when my estrogen is unfettered my skeletomuscular system feels great.

I’m thinking the next step is to try 300mg test and 100mg mast

These are good experiments but I'd try to run them long enough to get bloodwork done, and keep notes on what you were using & pain symptoms.

If you keep switching protocols, memory & feelz will only go so far toward solving the problem.

Interesting that it seems to be estrogen related with you. I'm still in my first week of replacing anastrozole with nolvadex. I have high hopes this is gonna fix my issue with tendonitis.

I don’t bother with T and E blood work anymore. I used to aim for T at the high end of normal, and I tried my e2 at low-normal, medium-normal, and high-normal, and in all cases I felt awful.

The only thing I avoid is getting my e2 below range, but I’ve never got it below 120pmol/l even when taking 2mg anastrozole per week.

I do get FBC, lipids, renal, liver, thyroid etc maybe once a year

Good point on making notes. Not enough people do that. I write down what I’m on every time I change things and I keep a diary of symptoms.

How long do you think I should leave it before I change things? Because if I feel significantly worse after 2 weeks I tend to change things. And if I don’t feel even slightly better after 4 weeks I change it. I don’t think I leave it long enough, but then I also think that after 4 weeks I should get an idea of the change in the trajectory of my feelz

Let us know how it goes.

If you’re desperate for ideas, you could always try a DHT derivative. Derek from MPMD did a video on the anti-e of DHT and how androgens suppress breast growth

When I was on Testogel at one point my T was 40nmol/l, and my e2 was at nearly 500pmol/l. I got super concerned that I was gonna grow tits as my e2 was like 5x what it should be. I later found out that my DHT was a massive 16nmol/l because of the unique pharmacokinetics of transdermal testosterone. Either I’m immune to gyno, or the DHT was saving me from getting surgery.

This is why I’m now taking the masteron

This maybe just a “feels” report but I used to take adex with my cycles. And on cruise. I aromatize very easily. Had gyno surgery when I was younger. Etc etc.

But my joints used to always hurt. Supplemented damn near everything. So I was like hmmm maybe it’s adex? So I dialed back the adex just to see. Wasn’t enough to help the dry crackly joints.
So I completely cut it out.

As of a year ago. I recently switched to aromasin/Exemestane. Trying to use it as minimal as possible. Cruising & On cycle still running similar compounds. But I’ve also added HGH ( maybe that’s helping my joints more)

But Since switching my joint pain has been pretty minimal. Aches here and there from injuries.
Unfortunately some stuff just messes with people different.

Yeah I have some mast lying around, probably won't be enough to stop nipple soreness though. I've always needed to keep my e2 below 20 to avoid issues, that's my I'm trying low dose nolva as it should allow e2 levels to remain higher and still keep gyno at bay.

Interesting that adex gave you problems while aromasin doesn't seem too. I've been thinking it's just a matter of estrogen levels but maybe the ai plays a role beyond that.

You may want to switch to a transscrotal cream that will provide massive DHT conversion and therefore naturally take care of your e2 ;)
