Low insulin and fat loss doubt

Hello,

If I am respecting my caloric deficit but I am spiking my insuline through the day by having coffee with milk with artificial sweetener and some fruit for snacks, am I hindering my fat loss compared with doing the same calorie intake, but not spiking my insulin through the day?

I am barely eating complex carbs, just a big oats porridge cooked with whey protein in the morning.

None of the things you mentioned are really “spiking” insulin but why’re you eating “snacks” and carbs alone outside of a complete meal?

At the end of the day the “insulin model” for fat loss has been disproven time and time again. If you’re not seeing results you’re likely eating too much or not moving enough or both. Progress cals down and activity up in increments when progress stops.

I do 4 full meals and 2 "snacks":

Meal 1: Oats + whey protein porridge

Office Snack 1: coffee&milk&sweetener + 1 apple

Meal 2: Big beef steak (325gr aprox) + Big spinach with tomatoes salad.

Office Snack 2: same a snack 1

Meal 3 pre workout: 450 gr cottage cheese 0% fat with 300 - 400gr of Melon

Meal 4 postworkout: 250gr egg whites + 1 whole egg ommelette + fish + brocoli

What's wrong about the snacks?

Calories are dialed in ( 2000 - 2200 ) and I am seeing results, I just thought I would burn more fat without spiking insuline, I am glad that the coffee and fruit aren't as you state.

Wouldn’t worry about it man. If you’re seeing results, are staying satiated enough to comply to your diet, and can continue, then carry on.

Sometimes I eat sweets while Im cutting. Like a skinny cow ice cream sandwich. You know what I do? I row for 20 minutes to make up for it.
