hi im 18 and was diagnosed as manic depressive when i was 13 years old
I stopped taking my anti-depressants 3 years ago because they werent helping me and my psychiatrist thinks im doing alot better now ''he doesn't know i stopped my meds''

I recently went to my family doctor but was denied testosterone blood test
and she told me that having an undescended testicle wont harm my T levels
and she told me i wont need HRT because my one testicle is fully functional.

she also told me to talk to my psychiatrist and said i was depressed because i was missing a testicle and that i was paranoid to think i had low testosterone

I tried several anti-depressants and anti-psychotics and i noticed i was a non responder to anti-depressants because they didn't help with my depression
i read something similar to my case on the net
http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/38/3/26-b

Im planning to buy my first cycle of Sustanon with PCT and use it as HRT
i also running tribulus at 2grams a day through out cycle

DO NOT, repeat DO NOT start yourself on a self prescribed HRT regiment if you don't know what your current situation is. You never know, your T levels COULD be just fine. If they are and you start using AAS you'll mess em up big time unnecessarily.

However, your doc works for YOU! No one can tell what is going on inside just by looking at you on the outside esp when it comes to hormone levels. WAY too many have been ignored because they were told that one testicle was sufficient when it really wasn't. Push her. Get those tests done. In fact, get the tests done that are in SWALE's sticky "labs I run". If she won't do it then find someone who will.

The worst is that you have normal levels and perhaps you do need to try a different anti-D. Or, you might be vindicated and have proof that you're hypo. Either way, you need labs to say for certain and AAS as a substitute is a bad idea.

Good luck bro. Keep us posted!

i agree with weatherlite ask again and tell her she has a duty of care for you.

if she refuses report her for malpractise and find someone else.

i am not a male chauvinist(my fiance may disagree) but seriously i feel when it comes to male problems female docs are not generally qualified nor sympathetic to male issues.

i am sure swale knows very knowledgable and helpful female associates, i however do not have much confidance in them from personal experience.

women generally seem to think they have a monopoly on "hormonal problems".

i hope the better half doesn't read this or i am in BIG trouble!

agree 100 %

and about toc67guru's post, yes, find yourself a male doctor, since women feel mental wise inferior than men, they always will try to make a point with discrepancies, alternatives and different opinions.

take care bro, follow Weatherlite's advice.

JoeyNess I have had low T for over 21 yrs. When I first got sick my Dr. did a lot of tests and sent me to a lot of other Dr.'s they could not find anything wrong because they never test my hormones. I was on sick leave from work and in order to keep getting my sick pay I had to see a srink. I was told I have every kind of Depression and put on every kind of AD med. and was on manic depressive meds. Nothing worked I never felt better when my Job asked the DR. way was I not getting any better he told them I like to be depressed. I guess you can see I have no use for these kinds of Dr.'s. I feel that they turn no one that comes to them away to them every one is nuts.

Finely after 5 yrs. of this I was put on Prozac when it came out this dam med made my voiding so slow I got a bad bladder infection. I told the Dr. that I have lost my sex life and could not pee. He told me imposable and I went to see a Uro this Dr. talked to me and told me he thinks I have low T. He tested me and took me off the AD meds how is a long story. When I started on TRT I was much better and able to go back to work. If your Dr. will not do the testing then find a new Dr. call and ask if they treat a lot of men for Low T and ask if they check for high E2 Estradiol in men. You will know when you have found a good one. Back when I was first sick Dr.'s did not think about men having low T. Today when a men goes to his Dr. a good on and tells them he feels run down and depressed the first test they do is to check his Testosterone. So don't waste your money on that shit use it to see a better Dr. you never know you may be like I was. Today I am doing dam good and I am 61.
