Major Pain when doing Squats (whats going on?)

Hey basically when I am doing my sqauts my right upper thigh is KILLING. This is the second workout in a row this happened. I talked to a friend about it at work, and they think I am pinching my sciatic nurve. Which makes sense because today when I tried squatting like normal I felt a rush of PAINFUL fire go through my right leg (being especially painful in my upper right thigh), felt like my right leg was about to fall off. of course I stopped but being stubborn like I am I finished my reps anyway but lightened the weights and didn't go nearly as low (which seemed to make things better)

the weirdest part of this all being my left leg/thigh doesn't hurt a bit and I am right-handed. also I have been squatting without issues for a long time. I've been upping my weights lately, but I had done this weight which caused me problems today without problems before...what's up? anyone ever have this problem, how did you deal with it? any advice? help a bro out

Sometimes the body cant take a big increase in weights. I hurt my self often playing football and powerlifiting in college cause we were pushed to gain as much as possible. I would say give it a week off or a little more and message the area that hurts and use heat and ice treatments 2x a day if possible. Then when you come back start out with higher reps and get a feel for it again. If the problem persists I say take onther lay off week and and repeat treatment, and if it still bothers you see a Doctor.
