I just received 40 tabs of spironolactone and I want to make a 2% mixture of it. I found a site that says mixing it with 60ml of ethyl alcohol will give you that solution. My question is is there any other solvent I can use that won't dry the shit out of my scalp? The dryness causes me to scratch making me lose even more fricken hair. This getting large and keeping hair game is damn tricky. For all you without MPB...thank your lucky stars. Any advice welcome. Thanks bros...

I found this... you might try 60% alcohol (try everclear) 20% propylene glycol and 20% distilled water and 6 crushed tabs. I know you don't dig the alcohol cause it seems to do damage, but try waiting 5 minutes and rinsing your hair with just a little bit of aloe juice or even gel. You don't need a whole lot, even one or two shot glass worth should do it. Get the kind in a bottle that needs to be refridgerated after opening, and you should be able to find it at almost any health food store. This should help alleviate the drying damage done bythe alcohol and if you use the gel type, it'll work like a thickener.
Otherwise there is something called dermovan, but I'm not sure if that works on a transdermal level, so you might want to look at that option a little closer.
