From the info I found, he only scored in the top 10 once (1977). I dont remember if he competed in more than one WSM, which at the time was 95% Americans. No wonder we actually won some back then.

Just saw Pud this weekend do a train pull throw up and still finish with the fastest time. He and Yokohola have good physiques. Pudz is nasty strong and has low body fat.

The WSM is becoming a joke. Edmunds doesn't invite the top Americans and is making many of the events just plain unfair for the competitors under 6' 2''.

Being a fellow POLACK (though pretty distant) I have to agree MARIUSZ is a freak of nature animal! I just can not understand it.

Yha have to agree with spec these events are for 6-2 and up a short guy dosent do well there.Best strong man ever and still is the Kaz!!!

you cant really compare the two. Kaz even said that Mariusz was the strongman of the 21st century.... 2 different times.

When you look at the top 10 when Kaz was competing, 8-9 were always American. I wouldnt exactly call that WORLDS Strongest Man. By no means am I taking anything away from him, but the competitions didnt even include the Scandinavians and only had a token guy from Holland.

BIG CHEERS FOR Mariusz Pudzianowski my countryman!!! whose even i know PUDZIAN is only 26 or 27 years old guys!! give him time and u will see what he can!!! BRos Pudzian even tried lately to play RUGBY and NO ONE on playfield could stop him,wonder why? LOL
I belive in near future more polish Strongmans gonna be well known cause i observe a lot of talents here in my country, some guys are fucking freaks!!! they are amazing in their power!!!

Did Mariusz win the 2003 Finals? I never got to see it on ESPN just the qualifying heats. KAZ in his prime would destroy anyone else from any time period. Kaz was 27 when he won his first in 1980. 1983 to 1988 he wasn't invited back. And I think there were only 4 or 5 americans in the 80 to 82 years when Kaz dominated.

I think whomever designs the events need to put back the following: 1-rep max squat, 1-rep max deadlift, steel-bar-bend, overhead keg press for max weight.

1981 - 7 Ams.

Pud won the WSM in 2003, and also in 2002.

i caught a bit of the WSM over the weekend. the event was the double anvil carry and straight to the chain and anchor drag. Mariusz finished in the 40 second range i believe, and the others couldnt even finish. AMAZING.

do you guys think he's "ON", or is he natural?
